  1. Assuming LHO has HA and DK, there is a guaranteed 100% play (i.e., if I haven't missed anything).
  2. Interesting. If declarer knows that K and A are split (perhaps indicated by a non-diamond lead etc), by playing K from KJx and then playing low, you have given away a trick when declarer holds Txx(x) or a guess to declarer when he holds T8xx. What was the full hand? EDIT: I guess I should refresh before posting! +1 to Justin's post.
  3. That is strange, I can see it. Were you logged on when you tried to view it? In any case, seems like this forum software has some bugs around attachments.
  4. Given that declarer will likely have longer diamonds than spades, a low spade does seem convincing. And it looks like partner can figure out a trump return after winning the SA. Agree with others. Nice hand. Thank you for posting, MrAce.
  5. I would probably lead a low heart in both cases.
  6. You should ask them to show their hand and state their line of play. If they claim on a drop, call the Director. Skill level is irrelevant. Of course, I know nothing of the laws. Perhaps you should post this in the laws forum.
  7. LHO opens 1H and you reach 4S as South (so North is dummy and LHO is West). LHO leads a trump (RHO following) and you see [hv=pc=n&s=saq982hk7daq8ck42&n=sk7654h82d643caq5]133|200[/hv] Plan the play. Adv/+, please refrain from spoiling too quickly. Also, this is probably a well known theme hand, so if you find a reference, please add it.
  8. I don't know. You tell me :-) btw did you mean b7-b5?
  9. Wrong thread error. Please try again in 20 years.
  10. Yes, and that would mean we need to go active. Here there does not seem to be a need for going active. In any case, DQ is both passive and active! :-)
  11. White to play and mate in two moves.
  12. This hand reminds me of this hand I posted a while back: http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/26693-3c-hand/
  13. Why do you think playing DQ is a rush for diamond tricks? It seems to be only lead with minimal risk of blowing a trick. Defense can go passive on this hand and DQ serves that purpose.
  14. How about a spade on CQ? Say declarer has xx, AQxxxxxx,Ax,x? If you play CK (which I guess is what you are hinting at) declarer can cash HA and throw a spade on CQ, reaching dummy with DK. If you play low C, declarer gets an immediate discard. And if pd has DA, declarer could have Axx, AQxxxxxx, x, x and gets a discard on low club from you.
  15. What is the scoring? At IMPS I guess I would play DQ without thinking too much :). Even if pard has club singleton, we don't really need to give him a ruff. It is not going anywhere.
  16. Hi, This is about the forum software and not the BBO software. I attached a zip file to the first post here: http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/25507-tool-to-auto-reject-invitations/ One person claimed that they could not download the attachment. So, I tried to, and it seems like I can't either. What could be happening? And more importantly, can we please fix this? I am pretty sure I uploaded the file.
  17. I have updated the tool to also take a reject.txt file. The priority is allowed.txt first then reject.txt. If allowed.txt does not exist (which is different from it not having any entries) then it will try to pick up reject.txt. If allowed.txt exists, then reject.txt is ignore. If both allowed.txt and reject.txt do not exist, then all invitations will be shown.
  18. btw, what happens if you mark them as enemies?
  19. Ok. I have updated the tool (the attached file to first post) to reject permissions to join a chatroom/table. You might see a flash when that happens (I have noticed that only with chatroom though), but the user should get an automatic reject and you should not have to click anything. Currently only the file allowed.txt is looked at and all names not in the list will be rejected. If possible, I would like your help in testing this out (i.e. please let me know how it works out) Meanwhile I will try to update the tool to cater to a reject list.
  20. Ok. I have made an update to the tool. It now also tries to reject Table Reservation Popups. Please find the zip attached to the first post of this thread. Please make sure you read the readme.txt file. Now by default it looks for BBO version 5.2.6. Also, you can start the InviteRejector.exe and then login to BBO. The tool will wait for 5 minutes, and then will exit if you havent logged in by then. Unfortunately, it currently does not reject the popup you get when you login, for a table seat that was already reserved before you logged in. Note: I didn't see any popups with Chatroom invites, so if you could show me how you see that, I could try updating the tool to work for those too. Edit: Now I realize what you actually want! You want to reject people wanting to join your table/chatroom too. I will look into it.
  21. There is already a choice of an allowed list. (Please download from the link and read the readme which should tell exactly what can be done with the tool). I will update this thread if/when I am able to add what you request. Thank you for your interest :)
  22. Which hand and which trick are you referring to? If you mean hand 2, trick 1, with CK onside you have 9 tricks...
