  1. Firefox: /Export/Handviewer Link Click the link pop-up appears that says "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved." and requires that I either click "Stay on Page" or "Leave Page". The hand open in a new Tab. Is the option "Leave Page" useful? (that also shows the hand then and leaves BBO). Would be better if popup was not shown, "Stay on Page" used by deafult and hand shown in other tab. Or even better: /Export/Handviewer Link => Don't show the link to click on, but immediately show the hand in new tab. (Or does it work better in other browser?) Remark: - Maybe I should have used suggestions for the software forum
  4. No. Discards and following suit are different things imo.
  5. Yes, good enough for 2nt No, too good for 4S No, I don't consider other bids
  7. 1: 4H is heel kansrijk.
  8. ..."Absent such a discussion": I agree with all you said. Do you think it is a bad idea to have 4C being minimal. Something like?: xx=x=AJTxxx=KQxx
  9. I had the issue with robots 'cheating' again. Playing 3NT in a friend challenge. I was gonna make 3NT. West robot ducked ♦A in 3rd ♦ trick. East robot discard on it. Then I played ♦ from North and East played ♦A. Near the end of the the hand a got a message that an error occurred. I reopened the hand and the robots took more tricks then the were allowed. I was going -3 while it made! TD!
  10. Hello, I have two issues with the BBO Web Version. Before I used the client version and didn't have issue 1. 1) Very often I'm disconnected. Is this typically caused by my wifi or can another thing be the cause (I use firefox) 2) Mostly I play challenges or tournaments against robots. Sometimes the play goes completely wrong: robots not following suit when they have to.

Thanks! You mean: Trump promotion if North started with doubleton C and f.i. ♥J8? North had: [hv=pc=n&n=saq8743hkjd9632c7]133|100[/hv] It wins here to play A and small; OR 9 and A. But neither of these plays should be found I think?
  12. We had a discussion Yesterday. 4 persons/3 different opinions. What is best play with: AQ9xxx-xx One said A first, one small to Q and I said small to 9. (Small to 9 better if LHO play small from KJTx) I verified it in suitplay and small to 9 seems best. But if I force LHO in suitplay to play small from KJTx then suitplay says that this is not best defense. So suitplay assumes that LHO will never play small from KJTx? Why is small to 9 then best play? This is complete hand for play in 4H (I'm not sure about the bidding): [hv=pc=n&w=skhaq9752daqj5cj8&e=sj65h63dk4cat9543&d=w&v=e&b=16&a=1h2s(weak)d3sdp4cp4dp4hppp]266|200|Pairs/MPs[/hv] Pairs; North leads ♣7.
  13. [hv=pc=n&s=sk642h2dq2caqj642&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1c(2%2B)1dd(Transfer%20H)1n]133|200[/hv] DBL by partner was transfer ♥ (can be with 4-4 majors; or 4cH and longer D) I thought that 2♣ was clear. I prefer to show my 6cC asap. My partner said that 2♣ is weaker (10-11) and that I should pass (and pass again if he DBLs 1NT). At what vulnerability or scoring would you pass after this bidding (and pass again if partner DBLs 1NT)?
  14. After the Heart lead, declarer already played 4 rounds of clubs. If we still have to signal anything, then it depends on the signals we gave when Clubs were played and the discard(s) on the last clubs and dummy.
  15. Why is this best in your opinion? I'm not sure about the preemption. If you are 12-14 balanced in 4th hand then 1NT is probably a good preemptive bid?
  16. This is only when NV; and partner can still have 9-11 non-balanced. My partner actually proposed 13-15 for 4th hand 1NT. Do you think that is better and pass 12 HCP balanced?
  17. If you have NT ranges 9-11, 12-14 and 15-17 When do you play what range (assume you play the same at MPs and IMPs)? This is what my new partner suggests: 1st/2nd hand: NV: 9-11 1st/2nd hand: Both V: 12-14 1st/2nd hand: V vs NV: 15-17 3th hand: NV vs V: 12-14 3th hand: other: 15-17 4th hand: 12-14 I would go for: 1st/2nd/3th hand: NV: 9-11 1st/2nd/3th hand: Both V: 12-14 1st/2nd/3th hand: V vs NV: 15-17 4th hand: 12-14 another pair at our club: 1st/2nd/3th hand: NV: 9-11 1st/2nd/3th hand: V: 15-17 4th hand: 15-17 What do you think is best or would be your preference? Do you think the mini-NT is more dangerous in 3th hand or more useful? Note: With my new partner I play T-Walsh, but not after a 3th hand opener. In 3th hand he wants to have the possibility to open 1C and pass any response. Maybe that makes the mini-NT less needed in 3th hand.
  18. We play 2♣ as only weak (mini-precision) and 2♦ as (an overloaded) multi. In Belgium you will see a lot of players having: - 2♣ multi; with weak option: some Both majors; some for weak with D(and f.i. Semi-GF) - 2♦ multi; with weak option: 6-card M (and f.i. GF) You also have good players playing both 2♣ and 2♦ as only strong.
  19. 2♣ opening is weak for us (mini-precision). We like that 2♣ opening, and that is the cause of 2♦ multi having all these variant. Maybe it would be better if we have 2♣ strong instead of mini-precision.
  20. Ok, maybe not. sorry.
  21. Yes, I prefer that this is GF I googled this an found your document. You are referring to (?): 1C-1D being weak => We play T-Walsh, so I don't see a solution for this. And we would have the same issue after?: 1D-1M 2NT
  22. with SAYC I meant SAYC, 2/1, .... (not precision), I have edited the OP 1x-1y 2NT Is this still 18-19 and still GF?
  23. Traditionally the minimum for responder on 1-level was 6 HCP. What do you consider the expert minimum now for bidding systems like SAYC (EDIT: or 2/1 ...). One Ace or One king? What is your minimum for bidding 1M or 1NT?: 1m-(P)-1M 1M-(p)-1NT What is the impact on other bidding sequences, if there is an impact? 1x-1y 2NT => Is 2NT still 18-19 and is it still GF? 1D-1H 3C => Is 3C still 18+?(I think everybody still plays this a GF).
