its not the upload of played hands, its the upload of topic-pre-generated handsets. i never found a menue to access my harddrive for upload.

after windows 7 installed 5 updates last night i now get the dreaded "can`t connect, make sure .... blabla " message. i actually can connect via the browserversion. the test page http://bridgebase09.bridgebase.com/test.txt can`t be reached. my other PC, a xp machine, still connects with the older windowsclient. really sad because due to a lot of teaching i need to use the old version on my W7-PC to be able to load up hands. help appreciated!

hi all, Nikos just sent me a mail where he told me that he wont be able to upload vuegraphdeals and others in the frequency of the last years due to a lack of time. He said that it would save a lot of time if he didnt have to search all the deals in the library and elsewhere. To keep that marvellous service going (at least with the main events of the year), he agreed to upload the files which are sent to him. So to keep this great database up-to-date people should send the linfiles to this adress: sarant@lu.coditel.net basically we should focus on the odd 20 Top events of the year. To keep the amount of doubles low people should send only the files of the top events in their own country, e.g. Cup Final and Team Championship. I will try to get a team together which covers BBOwl, Venice Cup and the Zonal Championships. PM me if you would like to be part of it. @fred: any possibility to get the complete vuegraphfiles directly from bbo via mail as a part of the uploadingprocess to the library? that would definately ease things up.

following this thread i just made my own little tries to decide if it is worth switching. i didnt manage to upload hands from a directory on my harddidk to a teaching table, a function one definately needs if using bbo to teach (i use it for online and reallife tuition) i think. only possible upload was from my favorite hands a folder which obviously was empty. did i do something wrong?

as far as i know you have to open ur pbn file first with netbridgevu.exe. then the exe will create a lin-copy of the pbn file in the same directory and u will have to use this. i think bbo still needs the lin.

in nearly every bigger bridgecountry this is already done by some bbo-members. you may join there.

i am! the first lesson with my pupils on bbo is always how to play minibridge here.

as far as i know u can buy a license with a documetation from fred. however in a similar situation about 5-6 years ago i was told that they definately dont want backward engineering. so i stopped trying to produce teaching files 4 my pupils and just focussed on giving them the hands by using convertersoftware.

what about the ability to load *.lin-files? about 3 months ago we had a thread concerning this feature might be gone. especially the teachers on bbo would be very sad about it.

i didnt get it. why cant i reverse with that hand? i always thought reverse shows strong hands with @ least 5-4 distr.

still same behavior. what are the security settings in xp to access bbo-tv? special ports? had no problems with the old machine. now its w-lan with manual entered parameters in modzilla to connect , could this be a reason?

i hope it has been in the better times of the braves. ridiculous what they did this year. selling the future for a coming free agent. i already thought about selling my braves pins. if they dont make it to the playoffs with a healthy chipper what will happen next year? scary.....
