I subscribe to the quaint notion that the official laws of bridge actually have some relation to the game. Most notably, Law 75 B states B. Violations of Partnership Agreements A player may violate an announced partnership agreement, so long as his partner is unaware of the violation (but habitual violations within a partnership may create implicit agreements, which must be disclosed). No player has the obligation to disclose to the opponents that he has violated an announced agreement and if the opponents are subsequently damaged, as through drawing a false inference from such violation, they are not entitled to redress. I don't question the legality hrothgar,I was more curious about what you think psyches add to the "52 cards" making it more bridge than no psyches? I mean,just because it's legal doesn't necessarily add alot to the game? :ph34r:

I'm curious as to how these AKQJ10987654321 numbers from pay tourneys affect how people "think" when looking for a partner. Do they cause "bad social behavior" like a rating system apparently does? Do players avoid someone with a "1" and only ask the AKQJ players? I honestly believe any rating system is no good. I honestly believe the only way for me to rate a player is to play with him,and see if we match,if we do how we're rated elsewhere does not matter,if we don't how we're rated elsewhere does not matter. Hi I was sitting in lobby,sound effects are enabled, and just hovering mouse over names when suddenly sound is gone......and never came back. I just wondered if this could be in any way related to others getting "welcome" sound? Frode

hi tried new beta 3.9.9 today no other apps running cards were moving at the speed of light,very hard on the eyes and the brain (what's left of it) <_< anyone else experience this? Frode

Maybe "Remember filter settings" in your profile(clicking name in lobby) is unchecked? It works for me anyway :D

Correct me if I'm wrong here,but the fewer tables the more "valuable" the occasional "badly sacrificed" 1400/1100 score will be? I mean,those who get "lucky" playing that particular pair on that particular board will almost have secured top 3 in one board in IMPs? I like playing imps at tables in Main,but for tourneys,what's the point playing 12 boards ending between 0 and 10 imps,which will happen if you meet the more solid pairs. My point being there is usually at least 1 "freak score" a board,maybe it reflects less in MP because you can't get more than 100%? I'll just stop here,I'm on thin ice

thank you EarlP He is most likely not helped playing with me,I am far from expert and wouldn't be what it seems he's looking for.

I'm Norwegian,and would like to have someone to play with on a more regular basis. Preferrably a Norwegian/European player,so we are more likely to be online at the same time. Basis for the request is to be able to "build" a "complete" system eventually and not having to change/add/subtract gadgets every day B) I think "most people" regard me as easygoing,maybe even pleasant at the table so don't expect me to be very critical. if interested please email me frobra@adsl.no

Maybe where the server is located there was no switch to "winter time"? I don't think this happens at the same time all over the globe....
