  1. Hi Cheater, when caught, are being dealt with by "abuse" (the place where you are to report cheaters. You said, that after you report them, "you still get no answer" afte 1-2 months. Well I think I can answer that. The policy is too keep actions taken by abuse and other yellows confidential. So it would be extremely rare (one would say impossible) for you to hear back from abuse what action, if any was taken against the cheaters. I will tell you this, not everyone TD;s (and others) report for cheating can be proved cheating. And in those cases nothing happens, or an inquiry is made about suspecious hands. In some cases cheating is proven, and then punishment is issued. However, again, no one is going to report back to you the steps they are taking. So, 1) Don't stop reporting obvious cheaters 2) Immediately mark cheates as enemies and thus ban them from your events 3) Don't expect to hear back from abuse, that will not happen. Ben OK Ben, thank you for your answer. Stefan
  2. Hi all, 1.at my tourneys I have seen some cheaters and I reported one pair with absolutely rediculous games. I reported this case before 1-2 months, but I still have no answer and I don't think to report more of these rediculous games, because it seems nobody interest. :) 2.I think that the number of the cheaters increase and I personally know some players who cheating. Once of them don't play paid or any ranked tourneys, but he is cheater and every tourney he has at least 70% and he is happy. ;) Stefan
  3. Oops, I thought the poll is World Classes in BBO only, but it's for the world. So I think there are 150-200 trully World Class players! Stefan
  4. 10%: 20% - Poles 30% - Turkish 30% - Bulgaians :) 10% - Americans 10% - Others That's what show my enemy list. Stefan :)
  5. I'm sorry Gerben47, i didn't read your post because I'm newcomer in the Forum, but it seems that it isn't changed! Stefan
  6. Hum, doesn't matter what's the level of my partner i will pass because I trust him, isn't normal to pass two times with good hand. I guess someone of opps psyche me or he is lower skill level than my partner! B) Stefan
  7. My scroll button isn't working too like Free's B) Stefan
  8. When kibitz at table and see the score there write We and They. Much better is NS and EW or the name of the players ... Stefan
  9. Mark, I like your idea for marathon tourneys and if you need my help you have it! Just a little idea from me - if you create tourney which take 5-6 hours or more you may create a group of TDs and every member of this group to direct a part of this long tourney, for example: if your tourney is 6 hours long and you have 3 TDs available everyone will direct 2 hours and the work will be much much easier. Stefan
  10. I think the most important conventions are: 1st) Fit raises - j2nt, 2nt-limit raise, minisplinters, splinters, suit+fit, drury, pre-emptive raise, constructive raises, raises after 1M-DBL, inverted minor, etc. 2nd) The usual old Blackwood ;) 3rd) The count singnals in defence Stefan
  11. I would open 1 NT and I think 'flytoox' that the lead isn't a reason to change your openings because next time the AKx will be in the other hand, i think that the most important in this situation is how you will rebid if you open 1♣ and you partner bid something like 1♠ or how you will raise him if he bid 1♥?! So open 1 NT Stefan
  12. In Bulgaria most of the players (including me) play Reverse Drury. And the jumpshifts like 1♠-3♥/3♦/3♣ and 1♥-3♦/3♣/(2♠) are suit + fit or minisplinters, we don't play Bergen raises! I don't know what would means 2NT by your system, but in this case with 4 cards in ♠ and 11 hcp i would bid 2NT - limit raise to 3♠. Stefan
  13. I think that World Class is = of multiple titles from the biggest world tourney as BB, Rosenblum, Cavendish, etc. But I think that BBO define for World Class is: "Player who represent self country at big bridge forums." => there are more than 50-60 players. However I voted for 1-10
  14. Hum, at seems that nobody defend my viewpoint :) => my decision is wrong, so I should apologize to NS! Thanks to everybody who commented this case and especially to Karl(mink), his comment was really good! :( ----------- Regards Stefan
  15. > you are simply teaching E/W to start lodging frivolous appeals hoping to get bad table results over-turned. I think that if I wouldn't adjust i would teach N to bid non-bridge-bids and to impair the pleasure of the game. > I don't understand how this can be interpreted as a deliberate attempt to impede a club lead. I didn't say "delibirate", I said solo-action by North. > Equally significant, even if North did psyche 3♣ to discourage a club lead, he is allowed to do so. When I asked North what mean 3♣ he didn't tell me that it's psyche! I think that the players know when they do psyche bids, and he should tell me that it's psyche when I asked him. P.S. And the title of this post is "TD was called when the board was finished"!!! Stefan
  16. Hi all, I was the TD who adjusted the board A== and I think that I should give you my point of this case. 1. Most of the players in BBO never have played tourneys in live and they don't know most of the rules. 2. I asked North what mean 3♣ and he explained me that it's 3+ cards and try to find fit (it mean 5 cards) in p's hand. 3. My viewpoint: South was a sub and they have not so full agreement and normally 3♣ is stayman, but North have not 4 cards in major, so 3♣ only might be puppet or baron, but North explained me (2.) and I decide that 3♣ is not bridge-bid and if his partner has really fit any game on ♣ surely will be worse than 3NT, and the once reason to bid 3♣ is to impede to EW to find the right lead and there is no other idea of this bid. So I adjusted A==, I could to adjust A+ for EW but I didn't, I could to adjust A- for NS, but I didn't, because there are too many points for finally result of this board. 4. Sorry for my BAD english! :)
