  1. I got used and like to lead the polish way (2nd and 4th, except from honor doubleton; no rusinow [might be non standard}), goes very well with reverse signals, you lead the same card you signal with. Usually don't show count when playing standard signals with Hx, unless 109 (H shows singleton or touching card below; sometimes touching card up).
  2. Fred, Tim: Wilkosz shows a weak hand, 5-5, at least one major. Fred: Current version of "standard" Polish Club (wj2005, designed by person/committee) uses Multi 2♦ (only weak in a major) + 2 ♥ as 5♥-5 other and 2♠ as 5♠-5 minor. Previous version (wj2000, designed by poll) uses Wikosz 2♦ + "normal" 2M (6+). Quote from end of introduction of WJ2005 book, english version: ** either 12-17 with 5+ ♦. 12-17 with any 4441 with 4♦. 12-14 with 4♦ and 5♣. Even Matula's book (english version, 1994) have the same set of 2-level openings as an alternative in an Appendix named "A new approach to two-level openings", which starts . So, this particular change seems to be regulations driven.
  3. Second Arend here. Vista in this Lenovo lasted 3 days :) Ubuntu since then.
  4. GIBs on free tables run on client (table host). All money related GIBs run on server, on identical hardware.
  5. <not authoritative> I understand GIB deals a number of hands under the given bidding restrictions and plays it double dummy. Then selects the best lead from that results. More thime to think give you more hands to sample, in this scenario. </not authoritative>
  6. blue squares: a scale showing number of posts. Some cards (a bridge hand): assigned by moderators, alsso a scale showing number of posts, no real meaning.
  7. Or BridgeBase home page
  8. Ban them for throwing IMPs away deliberately. This is hardly "ethical behaviour", and there is a section where it reads that players must behave ethically correctly at all times. Feel free to think that this behaviour is ethical. I don't think it is. Roland Hmmm. Who says it was a deliberate throwing? I'd think (without more info, as I have (nothing)) they had a string of very bad results, considered the match lost, and conceded it (mid-session, which is highly unusual).
  9. Highly unusual, don't see why wrong. Unless there are regulations forbidding this, don't see why they should be punished. They don't owe explanatations to anyone but partners, captain and federation. If DBV (after this) judges they are in the BB team, it is their choice.
  10. Firewrall in place? BBOFlash still uses a permanent connection, using port 3336.
  11. Try using "Open File from your computer" in BBO (Windows) splash screen.
  12. Sent. Might the related with the < and > in the name (<<<<<<<< TGV N°1 >>>>>>>>>>>).
  13. happy belate birthday, have fun in China.
  14. that's in bits, that is, in the 2^128-2^1024 range
  15. It is considered running when you leave the table after each played bid once. Bans kick in by percentage, I'm not sure of the exact threshold. So the more hands you finish, you are allowed to have more hands unfinished without the ban kicking.
