1. Don't know In Hell, but like Futurama better than the Simpsons.
2. In Chess Olympiads, hosts get a second team, rarely a third. Last time in Russia, Russia2 got bronze IIRC. drin, in our case (Zone 3), the Zonal Authority (the CSB) decides which teams sends to the WC. For that, it organizes round-robin tournaments with one team per country, then KO (semifinals and final). Semifinals longer than final, as the WC berth is played there (2 berths available). ACBL, Zonal 1 authority, decides to give 2 berths to the same country, unique in the world.
3. Declarer may still get UI after a rejected claim, usually a bad break.
4. There is a note in page 20 of the 6th Bulletin says there is a revised CC for Brink-Drijver with allowed BSCs.
5. BBO software asks you the starting board number when you create the vugraph file.
6. test test test

test
test
test
7. According to Mark Horton in The 5th Shanghai Bulletin, Duboin played differently to what was recorded, first ♦10, then ♦7, then ♦5. I fixed the LIN file following that description.
8. Except that the primary (almost sole) reason for them is to be run my mail servers, before serving the processed mail to (probably Windows) clients. A roughly equivalent for Unix would be a rootkit.
9. Done by modifying the first post. Not sure if non admins are able to.
10. Same protocol, different servers. MTU = Maximum Transmission Unit, the max size of packet (if bigger, will be fragmented). Frozen in movement. Used to happen, I think somewhat related to FD. Doesn't happen anymore. Wine still freezes sometimes, no discernible pattern. Ubuntu Gutsy here.
11. <BBO hat off> I don't care much about hurried directors, or partner or opps, as long the round is finished in time. And if not, it can be adjusted. About hurried kibitzers, I just don't care :-) <BBO hat on>
12. Can't hide cards from the teacher, I think.
13. CTRL-W. Also, try making top & bottom panels autohide.
14. transfer then 4NT, quantitative, can be accepted with 6M and 6NT
15. A router at a big ISP seems to be having problems, affecting several BBO->users connections. Please, need IP address of people having problems, preferably with a traceroute to bbo In Windows: open DOS box, write "tracert bbo.bridgebase.com", send me the output. Use e-mail if possible, to not clutter this thread.
16. Probably I was the one who cancelled it. Don't think we should take over the missing TDs. I do this when I am called because people call TD and is missing/unresponsive. And call TD(s) twice. If no answer, and no one asks to take TDship, I cancel it.
17. Firstly, 169.254.x.x is NOT a working address, but shows a failed attempt to contact a DHCP server to obtain an address. Helene, the DHCP server rewrites by default /etc/resolv.conf if the DHCP server gives DNS servers and domains to search, unless told otherwise. Dwayne, "iwlist scanning" lists all the Access Points it sees. you can use the CLI to configure it (/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf) or the GUI, NetworkManager (apt-get network-manager-gnome), if already there, should show an icon in the tray, letting you choose between wired or wireless network, and then, which wireless network between those available. It will ask authentication method (be sure to pick the right one) and password.
18. Lenovo T60p laying on bed, with a Linksys nearby :-) Make sure you have wpasupplicant installed. CLI: What does "iwlist scan" say? GUI: Does NetworkManager list it in WirelessNetworks?
