I've never played those kind of transfers and I'm also interested on how it works. Is it really a big advantage because, playing tranfers, you allow room to opps who can double your transfer or bid your suit. (that's also why I hate transfer preempts) Alain

I would not bid 2♦ (but maybe you only have that in your arsenal) but I would force to game with north's hand (12 HCP's with 2 aces, a doubleton and 4 trumps are enough to consider this hand far better than a limit raise). I would also play 6♠ after north showed 18-19 ! Alain

I can't understand that :) How can you expect partner to see that pass as forcing when you can have 0 !? 5NT looks like the more practical bid We can still have 7 but it is too tough after the preempt. Alain
