  2. The importance of the message is approximately proportional to the font size. Please find out your opponents and scores in the following link. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0y6sp6g5cub7uz8/Event%209.xlsx?dl=0 The tournament is over. This is a single elimination tournament. For each round, you play 4 sets of 16 boards challenge (Format: IMP, non-best) vs. your opponent. Report the score (with link to hand record please) by replying in this thread. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finish your matches on time, message your opponents to discuss the schedule. Follow this thread at least once every 2 days. Report players who fail to response to any message for a long period of time. People who fail to follow the last few rules will be eliminated from this tournament and will be banned from playing the next event. If you withdraw from this event but do notify the public on this thread you'll not be penalized. Tie breaker: 8 boards play-off, IMP non-best hand, repeat until the result is not tie. Please remind me if I forget to say something. Seeding procedure: first rank players by seeding points, then random permutation on 5~8, 9~12, ..., 37~40, 41~42, 43~61(all new comers)
  3. OK this is the end of the registration. I'll open another thread for announcement/score reporting/information/etc. Please don't start until the thread is up
  4. For some reasons I forgot, we switched from google sheets to dropbox since event 3. Maybe Ovunc knows this. OK
  5. To simplify this a little bit, I'll set the format to KO from the first round (We already have 60 entrants, close to 64 which makes KO ideal format). I'll need a little help on entering the score of the first few rounds.
  6. There are about 29 hours left before the registration end. Although unlikely to happen let's try to keep # of participants less or equal to 64 (that means still 8 spots) so we don't need another round or some weird way to remove more than 1/2 participants per round.
  7. A few update I've pasted a link of current entrants, please tell me if any information is wrong. A few people suggest that the seeding points (base on past result of BBF challenge event only) will not be an accurate assessment due to many new players from BW forum(quite a strong community in general). I'll try to make the first round some kind of small group RR. Depends on number of players I'll try to design a way where seeding has relatively little effect and everyone's chance is about the same.
  8. It's never full. It's just the first round format will vary base on # of participants.
  9. OK so 38 participants now. The registration is still open until Saturday night Pacific time.
  10. I assume you're in this event by leaving a comment in this thread. Let me know if it's not the case. A few people request slower schedule. Therefore the temporary plan is about 1 round (64 boards) per 1.5 weeks. Quick Announcement 1. Assume nullve is in, we have 39 participants now. If # of participants do not exceed 42, we'll run 4 way(3 winner) in the first round (otherwise it'll be 3-way or KO in the 1st round). I might also consider group of 5 RR. Detail TBA 2. I'll overwrite Ovunc's rule on seeding point of previous event  and use the sum (instead of max) of points of main and side event. It's more consistent with event 7 and I'm too lazy to edit the stuffs in event 8 :P .
  11. Is 64 boards per 1.5 week slow enough?
  12. Alright I'll try to keep this going. Let's keep it simple this time. The registration is open to anyone. IMP, non-best hand, 64 boards single elimination KO (except possibly first round) is the format. First round will be mixture of KO/3-way/4-way/small group RR depends on number of participants. First time participants: For the nature of the event in general please look at the thread of previous events. Registration deadline is 6/17 11:59pm Pacific Time. Remind your friends! Entrants (will keep updating until 6/17 11:59pm) https://www.dropbox.com/s/0y6sp6g5cub7uz8/Event%209.xlsx?dl=0
  13. OK I'll edit the MP file later. However in event 7 I used the summation.
