Hi, Voice chat is a new setting in tournament's settings. We accidentally activated it for all games when it was tried this morning, but we fixed meanwhile. If you still have tournaments scheduled in advance, please make a small edit and save, to make sure you refresh the settings and video is off. Sorry about this, we did not intent to surprise everyone like this. Maybe when your players are calmer, give it a try with an actual planned game -- it's quite enjoyable when players are prepared for it.

Hi. There was a problem when we upgraded BBO this morning, the voice chat setting went to all tourneys instead of just those intentionally created with Video enabled. This inconvenience was fixed meanwhile. Please make a small edit to any tournaments you may have scheduled in advance, to make sure the settings are refreshed and video is off. Sorry for the bumpy start. But now that you saw video is coming, maybe try a game with video chat and see how your players like it when everyone expects it :)

You are fast! We're still beta-testing. You can try it out, of course, but it only works for pay tournaments (with a BB$ entry fee), and only on desktop for now. If you find anything strange or just want to give us feedback pls email me at diana@bridgebase.com. We'll publish the official announcement and instructions in a couple of day once we're sure everything is working as expected and is stable.

Sorry this happened to you. Please send abuse reports to abuse@bridgebase.com They have access to chat, and will be able to verify this person's activity. You can also put obnoxious people on Ignore (click on their profile, and there is a Relationship drop down where you can choose Follow, Neutral or Ignore). This prevents them from contacting you or inviting you or sending you messages.

We will add a new menu for this in the BBO Prime area.

Video will use a different service than existing voice. We know there have been problems with voice and we will address them. But the video will use a different technology, which we trust will be more scalable, better quality and easier to use.

We removed the default Sayc CC. It seemed like a good idea for a catch-all org like pay games ran by independent hosts, but if it turns out it frustrates more than it helps, it's certainly not mandatory to have it there...

This week's tourney had some boards automatically passed out (not intentional). Fixed and re-posted the tourney. I also trimmed the list of players, because allowing 8K+ turned out to be too confusing. Many of the players had no idea what they were playing and that this is an experimental game. An expected bug is when I know I did something weird and I'm checking how it works :) And unexpected bug is when I did nothing different from previous weeks, and yet something unexpected happens.

That one is a test format, and this was an unexpected bug. I'm running these games to experiment with deals partly bid or partly played. Something went wrong this week, we're checking why those boards are automatically passed out.

It's a free for fun two day event with no prizes. There is some security but no excessive IP check and lots of deals like in the pay ones. It's meant to be training people for multi-day events. We'll warn this player to stop entering with multiple aliases.

It depends what tournament it is. Send me the code you are using, in a private message, and I will check. But if it's one of the free unlimited codes to bypass limitations then its a BBO game, and these usually have a universal convention card pre-loaded.

That one is a setting specific to each organization. Not only the message says SAYC is default, it also loads the SAYC CC at the table for all partnerships that do not have a convention card. It depends on the code you use in your tournament settings, in the Type field.

By the way, since my little private experiment accidentally turned into a BBO forums game, this week's hands are all from recent BBO Forum posts. Have fun finding them :) Special thanks to lamford, he provided most of the hands.

You are correct, the restriction is "must have logged in the forums in the past 12 months" OP will be able to play next week's.

Yes, the played trick is not obvious enough. Last week I had a board where two or three tricks were played, and realized there is no way for the declarer to see what passed :) You are right, got to improve the way partly played boards are shown.

Yes, understood. I didn't expect the scores to be computed based on board number. It's not intentional behaviour, I'm just experimenting and learning for now. So today we learned that even tho vul is kept, score is not correct :) We'll check if this can be fixed.
