  1. Disagree that you've located a 9-card fit. I'd bid 2♠ with Kx/xx/KQTxx/AJxx and think it's standard to do so.
  2. I think partner would've led a club, not a trump, with a doubleton club.
  3. A splinter over a 1M opening should deliver at least 4-card support. It's impossible for opener to judge how to proceed if it can be done with only 3-card support.
  4. 1NT? ;) Down one and 4H-1 at other table?
  5. 15.60 http://www.jeff-goldsmith.org/cgi-bin/knr.cgi?hand=K53+A42+A63+AT75 12.55 http://www.jeff-goldsmith.org/cgi-bin/knr.cgi?hand=QJ8+AJ5+J85+KQJ9
  6. There's no loser to discard on the long spade.
  7. Well, if North plays a normal looking high heart from hand at trick 3, then 4♥ goes down.
  8. 2♠ instead of 2♥ with this hand is just silly. With AQJxxx/Txxx/x/Ax 2♠ is fine.
  9. Not true. North could have 6♠ and 4♥.
  10. 1♥ is always a minimum hand, not forcing. With weak 3-card support and strong 6+ ♣-suit, I'd rebid 2♣. So the answer to your question is; no, 2♣ does not deny 3♥.
  11. 1♣-1♦-1♥ = 11-13 BAL 2-3♥ OR 5+♣ 3♥ UNBAL 1♣-1♦-1N = 17-19 BAL This is how transfer responses after 1♣ is usually played in Sweden.
  12. As East I would bid 2♠ over 2♥, 3♠ over X, and 4♠ over 3♠. East gets all the blame for missing game.
  13. Why would north jump to 6♠ with a minimum takeout double and a worthless ♥K?
  14. Eliminate red suits and play ♣J. West with Qx/KJTxx/x/Qxxxx might give a ruff-sluff thinking you have this hand: ♠ATxx ♥x ♦AKxxxx ♣AJ
  15. Why do you want to bid a 30% slam?
  16. Opening post says fav vul. Full hand post shows unfav. Quite a difference I'd say...
  17. Isn't 2♥ an insufficient bid when partner opens 2NT? ;)

  19. I see a big problem with this. The playing strength of the 11-13 balanced hand is about one trick weaker than a minimum club hand, and I assume opener can also have a maximum club hand. How is responder with a non-GF heart hand going to know when he should stop in 2H or make an invite?
  20. 4♣ = majors with longer hearts or equal length 4♦ = majors with longer spades
  21. Did you limit opener to max 15 HCP?
  22. North opens, East overcalls 1NT, and South with 12 hcp prefers to show Qxxxx in clubs instead of the obvious double?
