  2. A bit ambiguous what I asked so I mean just the raw score not the net duplicate score.
  3. WHat is the worst/best result achieved in a single hand in duplicate bridge in against professional bridge players? What is the current record?
  4. ♠Qxxx ♦AQJ ♣10xxxxxx It goes pass, pass, 1♥, pass with the above hand. Partner GIB held ♠Jx ♥xxx ♦xxx ♣AKQJx so it was a good 5C
  5. The test is whether the opener is passable with likely sure game contract not whether slam is possible. That opener is definitely possible to passed at 1S when 4S makes easily and it is around about 23 TP.
  6. You see lots of funny events like claims that should not be accepted. Unbelievably bad plays. I don't blame Vugraph operators being volunteers and the software is awkward like you can't correct a mistake in the claim or play easily. Certainly there bidding misunderstanding but some events defy that understanding. All you can think if it real then it is extreme time pressure that drives For example I saw a which something like this- messed who was dealer it was South. and hearts broke nicely and then East in the only way of going down lead to Q in West and then back to the king and then they claim to make North held J10x in spades (with South naturally holding a normal good opening card with 6 diamonds AQJxxx . 7. [hv=pc=n&e=skqjt654hj2d75ck6]133|100[/hv] Second hand in a recent Solitaire tournament but GIB couldn't open the hand as 3S. Any ideas?
  8. In a previous Weekly Free Tournament, GIB opponents would have a 6-4 fit in spades and sometimes not bid game. You'd think GIB would totally ignore opponent bidding but many times would stop short.
  9. I dont think it is a lotbetter since it comes up more often consuming budding space. Either make for example 3H reponse after 1S opening a weak bid or leace it undefined and unused.
  10. It happens so many times after opening and first response bids. The bid descriptions are as though it was an opening bid.
  11. They set the names on the external table link and if you enter and see tye names not set on the actual table then you they just still organising and nothing will happen. Why arent the names autoentered on actual table with setup in progress as initial automatic table chat?
  12. Trying through Kindle HD, prompts me to download files only.
  13. Is bidding cards a cerainty to be available nd used? Is voice never the bidding means now? Scribbling on pieces of paper was the way at some clubs I used.
  14. Suppose at a table one pair plays a complex artificial system that leads to an odd contract. Suppose noone remembers who bid the final suit first. What is rules for that situation?
  15. Can we have exactly same format as the previous free weekly sokitaire tournament with one price for unlimited entries for say 0.5 Bbo dollars? It was fun to game it.
  16. I have that too on Kindle Fire 8 HD Chrome (latest) 80.0000.3987.20 (from memory). I think it is a server capacity limit problem and Solitaire Tournament is placed low priority so other functions can run. Couldn't functions be greyed if unavailabke? No problem with anything else.
  17. They have save details but it is a lie. You shouldn't have pay by credit card to add details.
  18. A public daily play bridge club does not probably exist in Asia. It might exist in China. It doesn't exist even in Australia the biggest club only does Mon to Sat.
  19. playing solitaire GiB opens 3 clubs. I overcall 3 hearts. Lead goes A of diamonds then low diamond ruff. Ace of club into his GIb partner's void guess what he leads next. switches to a spade for the finess that i am going to lose. Opener has Q xx of hearts His partner has J of hearts. It costs nothing to continue the crossruff.
  20. It is a reasonable jump to game- 5 hearts 10 HCP and singleton. Partner's suit is not as important as you think- your suit is weak in strength- it is generally impossible for human bridge players to tell whether a shortage in partner's suit is good or bad. It of course only fails on the bad break.
  21. GIB also forces to game on a 12-14 NT with 9 HCP. There is no method in its madness.
  22. West opening is not bad at this vulnerability.
