Places for a good relaxed game

Your sense of moral superiority is also met with total disdain. May the Schwartz be with you.

Lawyers are known the world over for being loquacious. I commend you here for being probably the most loquacious I've ever seen. As for your assessment of my imbecility, it is met with total disdain. We just don't see things the same way. I could adjudge you as an "imbecile", but I don't. I just don't agree with you. Does that make me right? Of course not. Does it make you right? Of course not. It just means we don't all see things the same way. I wish you well on your trip down the moral superiority highway. You go your way. I'll go mine. And may the Schwartz be with you.

Which prompts the question once again, "Who's fault was it?" A 36 year-old male lunatic goes into a Subway and blows away a 24 year-old female whose only indiscretion (in his view) was putting too much mayonnaise on his sandwich. It's heart-rending. It's sickening. But I still don't view it as the NRA's fault.
-
I graciously acknowledge your opinion. I don't share it. But I do acknowledge it. Fare thee well pilgrim.
-
Agreed wholeheartedly. And if we can come up with a way to take firearms out of the hands of the criminally insane I'm all for it. But I just don't think the NRA is complicit in the current wave of gun violence which was Winston's assertion.
-
Here, ladies and gentlemen, you have a perfect example of pure, unadulterated horseshit. No one claims that drunken drivers have a constitutional right to drive drunk. But (I'm pretty sure) a majority of Americans share the view that they have a constitutional right to own firearms. Don't damn the law-obiding. Damn (and punish) the criminals.

Is 2/1 also forcing to game in the minors

Years ago I read Mike Lawrence's take on this situation. His opinion was that if you get to the 3 level, have found no 8-card major-suit fit, and 3NT is deemed unplayable you can pass it out at 4m. -
Could you please give us a count of the mass shooters....Harris, Klebold, Lanza, Ramos, etc.....who were NRA members? Thank you in advance.
-
Thank you for a well-researched response. However, try though I may, I find nothing there that supports Winston's assertion that mass shootings in the U. S. A. are NRA-inspired. Enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

So was that the fault of the NRA? Or Hollywood? Winnie's implication was that the NRA promotes gun violence by offering weapons to kids. I don't belong to the NRA, but from what I've read they teach gun safety, not gun violence. So if anybody's ignorant here it's Winnie....and maybe you, an arrogant, foul-mouthed, greasy little turd.

Did the NRA produce Tombstone? Please answer. Let's place the guilt where it lies.

I will leave this conversation with the following thoughts: 1. If you don't want to shoot feral hogs that's OK. That's your choice. 2. Neither do I and that's OK also. That's my choice. 3. There are those who do. That's their choice which is also OK and I seriously doubt they will be deterred by your opinion of them as "thugs". 4. I wish you well on your quest for Utopia. May the Schwartz be with you.

Fine with me. As I have said here, more than once, we don't all see things the same way. You're entitled to your opinion; I'm entitled to mine.
-
And the question remains, "What is inherently wrong with any of that?"
-
I don't disagree with any of this, Ken. If someone can come up with a way to keep firearms out of the hands of those with evil intentions I'm all for it. But Peter_Alan asked, "But does "Happiness" include blowing anything away with an AR-15?" My link to the video of feral hog hunting was just my way of saying, "Yes."
-
Actually the helicopter in that video (N65AL) is registered to a guy in Lanesboro, MN.....hardly a "red" state.
-
Dunno about that. But I see nothing wrong with it if the hogs are destroying crops. Do you?
-
Well I've seen video of hunters in Texas shooting wild hogs with AR-15s from a helicopter. That probably made the hunters happy. But it probably made the wild hogs unhappy.

If the law allows it, why punish the merchant? Just change the law. But I agree with your thoughts that an 18 year-old shouldn't be allowed to purchase a semi-automatic weapon and 375 rounds of ammo as did Salvador Ramos. Change the law. Don't punish the merchant who did nothing illegal....ill-considered maybe, but not illegal. I don't agree with that. The manufacturer is not responsible for the lunacy of his customer. Should Ford be liable for the little 16 year-old prick in Texas suffering from "affluenza" who mowed down 6-8 people with an F350?
-
Yes we have. But my argument is that there are still more good people than there are evil people. I hope I'm right. If wrong we're all doomed regardless of which side of the political spectrum you align with. I agree with Peter_Alan that we need a culture shift. We need to shift back to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". And, in my opinion, "Happiness" does not include blowing away 10-yearolds with an AR-15.

An astute observation of the blatantly obvious. You might also point out that those who are willing to disobey current law would have absolutely no problem disobeying a new law.
