  1. Declarer should false card 5 and 6 so we'd have a real problem here.
  2. Playing 10-12 NT I tend to open many 44(41) with NT cause passing makes it harder for partner in the future, besides the preempt is always worth it. With 15-17 I remember doing it only once or twice. 2NT again I tend to open a bit more with shapes where I have singleton ace.
  3. 4♣ is my bid, most of the time it's supposed to be cue for diamonds, but after some 4 level response (4♥ this case) 5♣ tells it's real suit. Then 6♣ seems somewhat clear.
  4. If that's the case, why didn't he pass 2♠X?
  5. Double when it feels right ;) Second one is something I tend to do wrong in table but it's a pass.
  6. Change hearts and diamonds and it's 3♣ for me in any place. Now it's propably pass.
  7. 3♦ Puppet and I know what to do. We have it especially for these hands.
  8. 1. MP I'll pass, imps I'll make some sort of invite, depending what's availible. Transfer to clubs where p superaccepts with good support would be nice here. 2. ♦ all the way 3. 1♠
  9. MP I bid direct 6NT cause I expect same amount of tricks in major suit game. At imps I'll take the stayman route cause grand might be on on a good day and I think it must be really dark day too to make 6NT but not make 6♠
  10. MP, Vul NS, Dealer E Sitting N you hear 1♦ X 2♦ KJxx K98xxx xx J ?
  11. lol Han, what is that A4x? Can't remember whether it was two or three? ;) But what comes to the question, I'd take it as normal competetive auction cuebid = support for hearts and here accepts any invite. Spade shortness is likely but not demanded imo.
  12. With opening 1C you have easy rebid after either of red suits. (And of course after 1S) When neither of these occur or when opps bid, you are losing. I tend to randomize or more like it, which ever gives the better lead direct.
  13. I know I wouldn't have passed with this hand, what ever the bid means. If it was natural, p should have the game in own hand which means my ace just made slam playable. If it's not, as was the case, we end in atleast better contract even if partner doesn't get the info he propably was after. But my bid with the monster hand would have been 2♦, not 5. (Spades and other)
  14. This one depends, if I'm playing magic D with weak twos or some other system with aggressive openings, it's 2♥ or occasionally even 3. With stronger openings, I also tend to have atleast something in pre-empts so there is some use for Ogust or alike conventions. Third seat this is obvious 3♥ though.
  15. Easier to just play gazilli. One bid to fix all the problems of offshape bids. If my p doesn't play it though... I tend to bid NT with most hands instead of fake suits.
  16. Both bids are acceptable in my books. With good side controls, 2NT looks somewhat promising as it's not a big danger if p happens to blast 4♠ with six cards. I don't think 3NT is absolutely trivial as whereagles said but atleast I'd end up bidding it. I wonder if 3♥ here denies or shows a stopper? I don't think it would lose to ask... only that with 6-5 majors need to jump but is propably less of a problem than hands like these.
  17. 3♦ or 4♦ depending if 3♦ can be just extras or does it show shortness. Slam is indeed easily in picture. x Kxx(x) xxx Kxxxx(x) P propably has something like that which pretty much makes me want to be in a slam.
  18. I bid 2♠, minor suit stayman which promises usually weak or slam going hand. This is pretty borderline but I'll give it a shot. Most likely I get 3♣ (better clubs), I bid 3♠ as shortness, slam going with either or both minors. Now if p has something good in spades I trust him to bid 3NT and we can play there.
  19. We were playing with couple of friends today and I hold this major monster. We played a fun system called sports club which has something like polish clubs 1♣ so this was obvious sports club opener. All Vul AKJ10xx AQJ10x Kx - Bidding goes 1♣ - p - 1♦1 - p 1♠ - p - 2♦ - p 2♥ - p - 3♣2 - p 3♥ - p - 3♠ - p 5♣3 - X - XX4 - p 5♦5 - X - XX6 - ap 1: negative or unbal. pos. without majors. 2: 4th suit 3: Exclusion (later I realised that this was really bad bid :P ) 4: 0 Keys 5: Asks for ♠Q 6: Was undiscussed but took it as suggestion to play How would you have bid and if the same opportunity for 5♦XX was offered, would you have taken it? Now, here is what p had. Qxx - Q10xxxx AKJx ♥K is on the right side so 6♠ is practically showdown. We ended up making 5♦XX +1. Losing one imp since opponents found "sacrifice" in 5♦XX
  20. 3♦ as splinter and then we'll see where to play. I have agreed to cuebid shortness in partners suit so if I hear ♥ cue from partner, I atleast know that we have to play in spades.
  21. 1) 3♥ as a fit jump. 2) This is a pass, although I'd like to find double when it's right :(
  22. Effervesce, that was the way I played until people wanted bids to actually promise some suits. If I'm right, how this system is turning out it wouldn't even categorize as HUM.
  23. Magic Diamond is mostly the way I want to go apart from some wacky HUM systems. Aggressive and narrow through 1♥ - 2♣. Of course 1♣ opening is bit awkward but I just love everything else in it. :D Now I'm working on something that's trying to combine some methods of magic-D and Moscito. 1♦ and 1♥ transfers to majors, 4+ and canape, either 8-11 or 17+ HCP. 1♠ both majors, 8-16HCP. 1♣ For all 12-16 hands without both majors or 17+ without majors. 2s the magic style.
  24. I'd open 4NT since I play it as asking for specific aces. If I get 5♥ as response I can still play safely in 5♠ and if I get 2 I can bid 6♥ to show my void.
  25. I've had problem with systems I make. They tend to turn into HUM sooner or later. (Those damn rules are like stopping evolution) Now I'm bit unsure how unspecific minor openings have to be since major openings obviously always have to show length in a suit. 1♦ opening to show 9+ cards in either majors or minors. (May be 1, 2 or 3 -suited hand) Is this kind of opening ok? And does it have to be accompanied with strong club for it to be legal? I like this sort of opening in that when opponents interfere, it most likely tells a lot about my hand. How about that kind of opening combined with strong club? 1♣ = anything 16+ or 10-15HCP 9+ cards in minors or majors. Am I entering the HUM zone again?
