It's not restored to equity under the new rules? I don't ask because I think that is so, simply out of complete confusion.

Not sure what you mean, but if I have correctly analyzed the problem, then it's more complicated than simply "don't mess up". -
You are correct that my construction isn't too likely. I do prefer yours better. I did not intend to suggest that mine was the only where a squeeze was possible, I was just offering one possible one. Despite your construction where a heart shift is necessary, I find all the combination of all constructs where a diamond is crucial to be more likely (any where declarer has a first round control of hearts and not enough top club tricks). Or I'm just saying this because it's a puzzle on a forum. I dunno. I do think that I'd lead a diamond at the table (right or wrong).

Pitching a heart, and playing A and another spade works on all 2-2 and 3-1 trump splits. Is it worth varying this to cater to 4-0 splits? 4 spades in RHO will succeed the same way, but 4 spades in LHO will go down on A and another spade. I think it's the best I can do.
-
agreed, and in addition to rectifying the score for the board, give them a PP for not correcting the explanation before opening lead.
-
I would also start with stayman, but I wouldn't bid smolen afterwards, I'd "retransfer" at the 4 level. When I hear a 2H response, I too use 3S as an unbalanced slam try.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Here's another example that the auction 1C-1H-2D is undefined:
-
Considering that the law with the word "must" also has the word "immediately" I don't care about the word "subsequently" in this case.
-
I prefer reverse flannery (discussed other places in this forum). It shows 5+ spades and 4+ hearts and either constructive or limit raise values (2H is 6-9 2S is 10-12).

game: what does this mean ?
BunnyGo replied to muddy123's topic in Intermediate and Advanced Bridge Discussion
Game is scoring 100 pts. That is at least 3NT, 4♥, 4♠, 5♣, or 5♦. -
I'll say that the Talmud (the oldest text I know of which has debates of the legal procedure of capital cases) said that the required "adamantium hard" evidence was two eye witnesses who had warned the perpetrator the the crime he was about to commit was punishable by death. They also had to actually see the murder committed, not just "strong evidence" (the example given was a person is seen chasing another into a room and comes out with their knife bloody isn't good enough evidence). The "bloody court" was the one that executed two people in 70 years.

If East asks about all such alerts, then there does not need to be a bridge reason for him to ask. In fact, I do not think there ever needs to be a bridge reason to ask. As for East's complaint that the description is misleading, I'm more sympathetic that the description is misleading, but it seems to me that one is always allowed to pass a forcing bid.

Unless you're using the same term to refer to two different things, quantum tunneling isn't a way of traveling faster, it's a way of escaping energy wells (i.e. if a particle is "trapped" in a place requiring more enegy to escape than the particle has it can "tunnel" it's way under the energy hump).
-
But they're just the 4-dimensional projections of what are really going on. Maybe neutrinos jump through another dimension. (I'll still take the bet that this is a measurement failure)
-
If clubs are 2-2, I have 10 tricks all day (5 clubs, 1 heart + 2ruffs, 2 spades). If clubs are 3-1, I'd like the chance to set up diamonds for a spade pitch. Trick 2 should be to lead a diamond. Now I have three entries to dummy to ruff out diamonds, and the spade king to enter later to cash it. The key will also be to *not* pull more than one round of trump. I'll lose control on 3-1 break in that case, and don't mind if they score two club tricks.
-
For the record, I did bid 3C.
-
Thanks, never done that before. Here's the link it gave me: http://tinyurl.com/43ebmt8

I'd be happy to provide it, but I don't know how as it was during a robot race. The hand is saved in the "my hands" folder on BBO, but I don't know how to get a link.
-
Yes, I made one again today, but the intervening bid by partner was 1♥. I don't know if that matters.
-
I don't have the hand, but what concerns me was the way that the bids were defined. The auction was: 2N-3S 3N-4S 4N 2N = 20-21 NT 3S = MSS 3N = Denies 4C minor 4S = shortness 4N = Blackwood for spades!

Since most people have suggested that problems have been too hard for beginners, I hope this one is more appropriate.
