This has nothing to do with memory. I am sure GIB too plays with some plan (however bad that might be ). GIB's play is nothing unusual for a computer without nerves. After all how does he know if rho has ducked holding the spade queen? He simply misguessed and went down.But there was a better way of playing the hand.

The 6♦ call has only 1 meaning if it isnt a defined call. It means "Partner I have picked a fine time to pick your brains. I want to see what you do here and we can have a nice argument after hand is over." You should never make bids that you are reasonably sure partner will not be expected to understand. Dont stress him. He has to play the hand too! There surely has to be a better way of bidding the hand. I really hate it when people do "suit corrections"(and i am guessing this 6♦ was to play). I am sure responder had a nice ♦ raaise ,didnt know how to bid it so responded 1♥ with no ♥ suit and after pd jumped to 4♥ knew the partnership had combined slam values. So he bids 4nt asking for aces or keycards and then realizing one keycard is missing signs off in 6♦. LOL You think partner is expected to understand all this?I am sure he will bid 6♥ and then responder will bid 6NT and blame opener when he goes down in 6NT(if 6♦ is cold). I totally agree with Jlall. If you dont have a forcing minor raise in your system invent one by spending some time.

South 's pass is very normal.I would say North hasnt played any bridge at all. He/she should bid 4♠!. Why pass? x of 3♦ isnt wrong and perfectly normal. By the way if south xes again (as some ppl recommend) i doubt a north player who couldnt bid 4♠ the first time will do it now LOL . For all double dummy guys who claim 4♠ is -1 on ♦ lead who is going to lead ♦ when west didnt open 1♣ and jump in ♥ showing a two suiter?Hehe. Oh by the way A♦ is normal at trick 2. Andy why should the ♥king suggest the ♠queen? Mate think thats overdoing the thinking a bit. If you are wanting to know how to finesse correctly in the trump suit for the Queen drawing inference from ♥k isnt going to help. I might lead ♥K even without the queen ♠ on a different day. Are you happy to play me for the queen of ♠ now?:unsure: My lead is ♣ not k♥.

I would be more interested in knowing what 3♣ meant since it is really silly to bid it as natural when you can x to show ♣s

Yes i do understand the reason for the 2 person limit but it is being abused to close Tms early because someone is mad at someone. Think BBO should track no. of withdrawals made by each person and take approriate action. After all you cant always be having a problem. Another solution might be to let any player sub a disconnected (not someone who is playing!)player after a predetermined time. Wonder if any of this is possible.

There is no x over 1♦. I would simply overcall 1♠ and over 1) 4♦-x as negative showing remaining suits 2)5♦-x for penalties

As per lawrence the 1st hand should rebid 2♠(not promising 6spades and unlimited hand). I like 2♦ rebid but technically it does promise a suit and unless my pd and me have an agreement that 2♦ can be 3 cards i am really not that keen on a 2♦ rebid! You can also rebid 2nt (12-14) but as someone mentioned not advisable with no values in ♥.And if responder had responded 2♦ instead of 2♣ think you can continue in same fashion by bidding 2♠ as 3♦ should again be extras. The second hand is an undisputable 3♣ rebid showing 4♣ and extras.

4♠ in my opinion regardless of who is red or black or green.

Lol Justin. Han who cares about quality of suit and losers and all that crap on this hand? 15 hcp 5 card ♣ you have to bid 2♣. and if you arent going to overcall i dont know what to say. In fact you should also overcall 2♣ if you have xxx AQ AKQ xxxxx(shocking to some eh?)
