This is a nice hand, which I kibitzed yesterday so I can't say anything, except that you still got chances even if RHO should hold both ♠A and ♠J.

1♠, 1NT on this hand is not my style.

It works!

1NT (14-16)-2♠ (bad doubleton or singelton ♣, almost 100% GF no SI) 2NT (forced)- 3♣ (2/1 ♣) 3♦ (relay) - 3♠ (4-3-4-2) Then you can bid 4♥/♠ if you feel like it. More normal would be 4♦ which implies no major fit and can be passed if responder have a minimum hand.

Agree with the others, 2♣ instead of 1♥. I would reccomend you to download this excellent book: http://www.bridge.is/files/Partnership%20B..._2054397795.pdf and make your partner read it as well!

3♥ over 2♠ no problem, I think Justin is right you just have to bid over 3♠ as well. You would expect partner to have something, and he don't need that much for game to be ok. From time to time you might be unlucky and get butchered, but overtime I think bidding 4♥ is better.

Thanks for the answers. At the table I did bid 3NT, and partner tabled KQTxxx of clubs and Kxx of hearts. Too bad opener started with AKQxx of spades and QJ9xxx of hearts (strange opening?), xx in diamonds and 8 of clubs singelton..

Yes, you got it right. Opener opens 1♥ partner bids 3♣ RHO passes.
