I think many good players here in Norway play the 2NT bid as GF in a natural system, so then transfer looks good (and of course forcing), even though I think those who use the 2NT bid as GF use 3♣ as responder as an unknown 5card minor etc, I don't know the full scheme.

I agree Portugal played nicely, and it was a deserved win. However, their pressure on their opponents around their own 16 did not impress me at all. The Turks could pretty much do as they wanted there, and came to a lot of passes from the wings etc, against a more effective team that would have been costly, so need to work on that for later.

Poor Switzerland :( Very very nice playing from them, too bad they didn't get their penalty :P

Never, I saw Tor Helness sponors partner do this once, and Tor just shaked his head when he saw the dummy and asked why his partner couldn't just bid 1N like the rest.
