  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qicghSVOm0 ATOP SECRET: Our Classified Documents System Is [Redacted] | The Problem With Jon Stewart Podcast This was both entertaining and informative. Not sure the link will work. But easily found on Youtube
  2. This is so true. My brain cannot comprehend it. I'm truly worried about the world and especially my country, the USA. I have a great grandchild due any day now and I cannot help but feel so sad for her future. If I were not an atheist, I might pray for her. Big sigh
  3. Thanks pilowsky. He is being treated for high blood pressure and I will ask him to follow up with the doctor.
  4. Thank you, Ken. I will have to make an effort to listen to his breathing at night. LOL That won't be easy for me. I'm usually dead to the world when my head hits the pillow. I guess I could maybe fib about it and see if he will see his doctor about it. He needs to stay around longer than me for sure. Thanks again.
  5. He doesn't snore. His sleep patterns have changed, however. He naps multiple times a day. He says he sleeps fine at night. I'm only aware of him being awake when he gets up to use the bathroom once or so at night. I will see what help I can get from the Alzheimer's research Investigation. I appreciate your suggestion.
  6. This topic is of great interest to me. I have noticed a difference in my husband's mental acuity in the last 6 + months. I've told him that I'm concerned about this and have asked him to discuss it with his doctor. Outside of doing this, I have no idea what I should do or even if there is anything I can do.
  7. I find economics at the national level difficult to understand. I hope it is ok to post a link here to a couple of John Stewart podcasts that discusses it. I found the broadcast "How Do We Fix the Economy?" especially interesting. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=john+stewart+economist
  8. That's just too funny. You're one of my favorite posters. Thanks so much.
  9. I was thinking about the seatbelt analogy. If I understand it, some think seatbelts should not be a law and be voluntary. In most states in the US, 16 year old children are driving. Should we really expect 16 year old children and perhaps their passengers, who are most likely children too, be expected to make good and safe choices regarding seatbelts? I think the seatbelt laws helps save the lives of those individuals unlikely to make good choices.
  10. I can think of one very hot place they can all go. If indeed such a place existed.
  11. My reaction was much like Winston's. I'm suspicious of anything Trump says.
  12. I'm getting nervous about the outcome. I live in a retirement community (55+) in Arizona. In the past, Arizona has been labeled as a Republican state. But lately, I have read that it is turning blue(er). However, when I drive through the community, Trump for President flags are popping up all over. I've seen only one Biden for President sign. I just hope this doesn't reflect the outcome in Arizona. We really need to get rid of Trump not only for the sake of this nation, but also because I'm not sure my health will survive another 4 years of a Trump presidency. I'm also very surprised at the support he is getting from these seniors. Many of the residents here are transplants from other states. Most are from Midwestern states. Perhaps that's why?
  13. Just finished the series "Stateless" and found the story quite moving.
  14. I Live in the Phoenix area of Arizona. I have driven through the area where "Trumpstock" was held. As I drove through this area, I always wondered "what do these people do? I also wondered "why would you choose to live here?" There is no obvious source of employment nearby. There are no signs of farming (no water I imagine) or livestock (again no water or anything for the animals to graze on, I imagine). I read the wiki and it appears the area was sold in 2.5 acres parcels for $695.00 each, $10.00 down and $10.00 per month. (The wiki doesn't say when this happened) Perhaps they love the President so much because a "threat of Muslim and Latino immigrants" might want to take away their jobs? I don't know. But I would be very surprised if most of them don't need and receive public assistance. The very idea they think Trump cares about them makes me scratch my head and wonder why?
  15. Thanks everyone for your advice. I have installed chrome and that seems to have eliminated the problem. You guys are the best!!
  16. I've not been able to find any help for the choppy and slow card play. I was wondering if anyone could lead me to some things to check. I've tested my internet speed and it appears to be fine. (I play many steam games with little issue) I am using Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge browser. Should I use a different browser? Will be happy to give more pc specs if needed. Thanks to anyone that can help.
  17. I consider myself a novice bridge player. I learned SYAC from the same book you referenced. There is an excellent bridge teacher in the BIL (Beginner, Intermediate Lounge) using the name Hondo. This is a link to his website ( www.bridgesights.com/hondobridge/) which has very valuable information about bridge. If you select "Lesson Series" on his home page there is another link for "2 over 1". It's a great place to learn the basics of this system.
  18. Interesting analysis of Trump supporters: Not sure I entered this link correctly.
  19. Is there an emoji for raising a hand?
  20. I couldn't have said it better, "Crazy is as Crazy does"[https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/crazy-is-as-crazy-does/ar-AABUmaJ?ocid=spartandhp
  21. I was horrified at Trump's statements. The man has no shame!
