Playing in MBC today, a player disconnected and their seat was reserved. The host then left the table, making me host. There was no way way for me to clear the reservation. Web client, Win2K, firefox 3.6.6.

typo I assume should be "with hearts" or "with spades" ? doesn't look very standard to me one way or another. isn't standard: 3C=maxH 3D=maxS 3H=minH 3S=minS I may be wrong. I think I agree with Uwe. 2NT.

Good stories here :P Most memorable for me (so far) is I guess about 3 years ago, getting flogged as expected in the Grand National Pairs qualifying. Playing against a pair who have represented nationally, I made a frisky and doubtless foolish lead-directing double on ♥KQx and out. LHO tanked for 5 minutes before redoubling, and I had to run to my ♦xxxxx, doubled, down 5 or 6. -1400 in a Butler! I was astonished that I had managed to put such a thorn in LHO's side as to have caused such a long deliberation. I was even more shocked to end up gaining an IMP on the board - the rest of the room was making 1430 the other way.

I've had this happen too. RHO led ♠J, I held ♠QT and I could not play the Q! (the left-most card) in my hand, using 'pictures of cards' option. Win2K If it happens again I will try switching to HD.

I like this feature, personally, but I can certainly also sympathise with those who feel it is a breach of privacy, and think this information should be treated in the same way as is 'email'. I love myhands, especially being able to look up other players' recent results, but can understand the privacy concerns here, too, as it is essentially the same information. I thought myhands only gave the last month? I like to think that this little information actually should be public. Agree w/ bbradkey quit rate would be preferred, and/or total hands played/started/completed. @ Uday: I would be interested to know both my THP and QR for 'MrDodgy', assuming this is also logged? Feel free to post it here.

This also happened to me a LOT last night. Every time a player joined the table, even as dummy, the board in play was instantly redealt. After it happened for tenth-or-so time, with only a few boards actually played to completion, I simply gave up and left in annoyance. I know this can (and should) happen if the player joining has already seen the hands, but for it to happen EVERY time is either an extraordinary coincedence, or a software issue. Is this a bug, or a new 'feature'?

Out of idle curiosity, I decided to score all the pundits in this contest to see whose guesses were, overall, the 'best'. I did this by determining the difference in finishing rank among the yellows participating in the tournament with the rankings of the pundits in this thread. I am just registering my vote for the seniority system to be restored. I would disable kibs becoming hosts entirely.

I have noticed this behaviour. I was informed by Uday in a previous post here somewhere that it is a consequence of a limited capacity for such notes. In my case I encountered the problems becasue, as a tournament director iI put notes on players who were rude/left/stalled, etc. Eventually I found notes would not display on some profiles (generally it seemed to affect those players with IDs starting with Z,Y,X, etc.). I adopted keeping these records in a database on my PC, and using shorthand for the notes I DO have in profiles. Tricky situation as you have to try and find all the players you HAVE profiles notes about and delete them in order to create new notes.
