  1. For practice purposes, 2 humans against 2 robots, I would like to set specific hands criteria --- as a trivial example: (hcp(north)+hcp(south)>=25) I would also like us to bid and play out the full deal against the robots as in normal play (don't care about the scoring). It seems, however, for Training Table: - if I select Bidding Table, all hands will be visible from the start (no play) - if I select Teaching Table, all hands will be displayed immediately after bidding completes (again, no play) - if I select MP/IMP/TP scoring, I cannot give specific criteria, like the above, but only select from previous vugraph deals and matches. Is it not possible to do what I would like to do, or am I missing something?
  2. http://tinyurl.com/k7nrfg3 Moneybridge, at trick 5... returning clubs -- after west's 2C bid???? Robot's bid like complete morons, but usually not so ridiculous plays.... How can this suddenly happen?
  3. re "bad wifi"... (i had decent connection on the mobile) But, afaiu, it is the bbo-server totally controlling the robots? No robot actions are determined in the client, right? If this is correct, every bid or card played by a robot must always have originated from the server, and thus be registered there. So, bad wifi or not, should then not have any bearing for this bug.
  4. Sweet. Guess this is the reason I never win these daylongs! :D
  5. I was playing daylong-tourney on android mobile-app, going home from work. At one deal, the bidding was completed and I was in the middle of the play when I had to interrupt the game. Later logged on again (same userid, but from laptop web-browser) to continue... I was then served the same hand I interrupted, but FROM THE BEGINNING of the hand, and could bid the hand differently while knowing exactly what cards pd had. Looks like a bug (not a feature B-)) that needs to be urgently fixed, obviously.
  6. Probably, we have 7 heart tricks with no help from pd. Conservative style, open 3H (no worse than -500 doubled, against their 600+ game). Aggressive style (assume pd can help with one trick somewhere), open 4H.
  7. Doesn't it just use simulation, and simulation indicated 4♠ would go down more often than it makes?
  8. 8 hcp is better than the minimum, so not unreasonable to accept. Here, of course, south is too weak to invite.
  9. Where did you find this release notes Quote, you are citing? afaics, it's not in this thread. And I cannot find it by google either...
  10. Yes, if you look at the descriptions, you see, your ♥-bids only show biddable ♥s (not twice rebiddable). So understandable Gib prefers ♣s with only singleton support. Yet another glorious triumph for the ingenious robots.
  11. And on the 3rd one, of course, you already are in 3♥X. Hardly the ideal spot for raising to game.
  12. well, everything was normal up to/including the 3♣ bid. X=takeout 2♥=4+h, 0-16TP (maybe 16 is not "normal", but...) 3♣=4+♣, 10+hcp. Then, suddenly out of nowhere, comes the ridiculous 4♣ bid explained as "13+ total points". Thanks for telling us.
  13. Unfortunately, seems like the robot-bidding is only getting nuttier and nuttier by the day recently...? Here some recent moneybridge examples of weirdo-bids from outer space: http://i.imgur.com/YX6P7AY.png http://i.imgur.com/JURWlOi.png http://i.imgur.com/8iFMkUd.png
  14. How can you do that, when 3C only promises 2-5 clubs, then 3H is described as 4-5 diams? (LIAR! LIAR!)
  15. Isnt that pretty much how players already bid? Only... when opps open strong 2C, I always seem to hold a hand like: xxx xxx xxx xxxx or similar :)
  16. +1. Great proposal. Start by just displaying the clocks on the screen and see what effect that has.
  17. And why on Earth does this post come up in the BBO "News Feed" highlights? Just realized that's the reason I ended up here, totally wasting a few minutes.... :(
  18. Yes, that is an extremely ugly and arduous to read posting. Some more paragraph-spacing between lines would also help.
  19. Or why does not North bid 4♠? 20. No, robots do not think at all. It's a (virtual) machine that just executes rules designed by thinking or unthinking humans.
  21. If nothing else, it affects the monte carlo sampling, dismissing some layouts where the 2 or 4 happened to be dealt to another hand. Different sample may lead to different play in close decisions. It's a random factor, so will of course even out in the long run.
