  1. Fact check: Sanders ran under the Democratic banner, so by definition he was a Democratic candidate. Trump was a registered Democrat before he was a registered Republican. During the primaries the Republican establishment did what they could to defeat Trump without alienating the Republican base. Trump does not adhere to Republican orthodoxy, he seems to be a populist. If the Democrats are willing to make the kind of deal that he wants he has no problem working with them, particularly since the Republican congress cannot seem to deliver.
  2. Fact Check: Sanders ran in the Democratic primaries, not the Independent primaries. Trump is registered as a Republican this time around, he basically hijacked the Republican party. Ask Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, etc. Or rather, Trump conducted a "hostile takeover", he went directly to the "shareholders", i.e., the Republican party grassroots.
  3. What on earth are you smoking? Sanders may have been an independent but he ran for the Presidential nomination as a Democrat. Much like Trump, who is a populist, ran as a Republican.
  4. Wasn't Hillary Clinton one of nine members of the panel that gave final approval to the deal?
  5. Thank you for a thoughtful question. Subject to a couple of caveats, yes I am fully ready to allow Mueller to continue his investigations and to accept his results. By reputation he is apparently a person of integrity. The caveats have to do with Mueller's close association with James Comey. And recently more information has come to light regarding the Uranium One deal and the FBI's handling of their investigation into the bribery and corruption associated with the Russians who were ultimately receiving 20% of the US uranium supply. Mueller was the Director of the FBI at the time. So, assuming that those issues get handled properly, I would have no problem with Mueller's continuation. By the way, I also support the appointment of special counsels to investigate the Uranium One deal, Clinton email/James Comey/Loretta Lynch embroglio, the Clinton Foundation/Pay-ToPlaly issues, and the GPS Fusion/Trump Dossier. I would like to see everything put on the table in clear view and everyone who broke the law prosecuted. The Washington political environment has become an even worse cesspool than it usually is. It needs some drastic cleaning.
  6. A Federal judge apparently has ordered GPS Fusion to turn over their bank records to Congress on Monday. If and when that happens we will have a clearer picture of who paid whom and when. I am looking forward to it.
  7. Now that is funny! Anyone who has a different viewpoint than you must obviously be associated with Russia! I would similarly ask if the mods here happened to check if jjbrr has a functioning brain?
  8. It seems like your preferred response to someone you disagree with or don't like is to use violence to silence them. Very civilized of you.
  9. Wasn't a major item in the news this last week. Would you like to discuss them?
  10. Circle the wagons! Put your head in the sand! Don't listen to any adverse facts! Sounds like a good strategy. Carry on.
  11. This is not about who won or lost. This is about breaking the laws. Just like I want Trump or any Trump campaign member held accountable for breaking laws, I want Clinton, the DNC, or any of their campaign staff held accountable for breaking the laws. Don't you?
  12. Several reasons. The Federal Election Commission Filing made by the DNC and by the Clinton Campaign lists the expense as "Legal services". This is deliberately misleading since the intent was opposition research. This is a violation of Federal Election Laws and is subject to a fine and possible criminal prosecution. The firm hired to do the research, GPS Fusion, hired Christopher Steele, a British ex-spy, to solicit information from Russian sources. The use of a foreign citizen is also a violation of Federal Election Law, subject to fines and criminal prosecution. The solicitation of information from Russian sources to create a dossier to influence the 2016 election is exactly what Clinton and the Democrats have accused Trump of doing. So, in fact, it was the Clinton campaign and the DNC that colluded with Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. This changes the main political narrative of the day. And if is illegal for the Trump campaign to do so, then it is illegal for the Clinton campaign to do so. The Trump Dossier, an opposition research document with much of its content already discredited, was passed to the FBI and may have been used as part of the justification for obtaining the FISA warrant the allowed surveillance of the Trump campaign staff, and eventually resulted in the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the Russia/Trump connection. If this is indeed the case, then the entire investigation is tainted and would be thrown out of court as "fruit of the poisoned tree". That is why this matters.
  13. Winstonm, you have my sympathy. Your logic and reasoning faculties are obviously on the decline. The Washington Post is the one who reported that the DNC and the Clinton Campaign were the source of funds for GPS Fusion research that resulted in the Trump Dossier. Is that a lie?
  14. The anti-trump contingent seems to have a pattern: Antifa physically attacks Trump supporters at Trump rallies and right-wing speeches. An anti-Trumper guns down Republicans at a baseball practice session hrothgar wants to kill me if he could. Are you seeing the pattern?
  15. Interesting response. Do you disagree that the DNC/Clinton Campaign, via Perkins Coie, funded the GPS Fusion research that resulted in the Trump Dossier? Do you disagree that an undercover FBI informant, with extensive documented evidence, is scheduled to testify before various congressional investigating committees on the bribery and extortion present during the Uranimum one negotiations? Do you disagree that Senator Grassley is calling for a special prosecutor to investigate the Uranium One deal? Do you disagree that the Wall Street Journal has called for Robert Mueller's resignation?
  16. http://www.campaignlegalcenter.org/document/fec-complaint-hillary-america-dnc-failure-disclose https://www.fec.gov/updates/foreign-nationals/ https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/11/110.20 Hope this helps.
  17. Playing bridge. I will have to look them up and will get back to you when I have them.
  18. I wonder about Seth Rich, have no opinion about pizzagate, like dijon mustard. How about you?
  19. GPS apparently was hired by Beacon Hill to conduct opposition research on many of the Republican primary candidates, including Trump. They assert that they used only public resources in the US. After Trump won one of the primaries that ensured his eventual victory, Beacon Hill dropped the project. DNC/Clinton hired GPS, via Perkins Coie, to specifically conduct opposition research on Trump. DNC/Clinton intentionally mislabeled the expenditure in their FEC reporting as "legal services". This is a felony. GPS, on their behalf, hired Christoper Steele, a British citizen, to conduct research. This is a felony. Christopher Steele acquired information from Russian sources, suspectedly by paying for it. This may be another felony. So the DNC/Clinton, via Perkins Coie, enlisted the Russians to provide information to influence the 2016 election. This is the very collusion charge that has been lodged against Trump. If you don't think this changes the narrative, you are living on a different planet than I am.
  20. And I would submit you as the "Poster Child" of the liberal left. You are a fine representative. Keep up the good work!
  21. 1. Well apparently it was listed as "legal services" not "opposition research". This apparently violates FEC law. Also, foreign nationals (Christopher Steele, a British person) was paid to conduct research. This is also apparently a felony. Lastly, the primary sources for the dossier were Russian sources. This is not necessarily a felony but does indicate collusion with Russian sources to influence the 2016 election. 2. The Never Trumper funding, Beacon Hill, occurred and ceased before Christopher Steele was contracted with. The DNC/Clinton Campaign apparently picked the funding after Beacon Hill stopped and that was when Christopher Steele was hired. You need to get your timelines straight. DNC/Clinton apparently funded the research that produced the Trump Dossier, it did not exist before their funding arrived. 3. Tom Perez, Debbie Wasserman, some Clinton Campaign spokesman. 4. I am pretty sure that nothing is going to distract from Mueller's indictments. Rather you are using Mueller's indictments to distract from these new developments. Why is that? 5. Well, we will see what develops after the FBI informant testifies before congress, assuming he lives that long. Chuck Grassley, Senate Judiciary Committee Chair is calling for a special prosecutor in this case. And as I pointed out, the Wall Street Journal has called for Mueller's resignation. So apparently there is something there. Your condescension and partisanship are showing badly. But I expect that from you.
  22. This has been a helluva week, politically speaking! The Washington Post confirmed that the infamous “Trump Dossier” research was funded by the DNC and the Clinton campaign, using the legal firm of Perkins and Coie as a cutout conduit to provide deniability. So while no evidence has been produced so far on the Russia/Trump collusion allegations, we all now have actual evidence that there was DNC/Clinton/Russian collusion to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. In the process, several felonies have been committed. Of course all leading Democratic spokespersons are denying any knowledge of such activities. Really? 9 million dollars spent and know one knows about it. The firm that conducted the research for the dossier and hired Christopher Steele the British spy to obtain the information supplied by Russian sources, GPS Fusion, has been stonewalling and uncooperative with the congressional investigators. But a federal judge has ordered them to turn over their bank records to congress on Monday. That should be illuminating. Also, if the Trump Dossier is shown to be tainted, and was used to justify the FISA warrants that eventually led to the appointment of a special prosecutor, Robert Mueller, then the whole chain of investigations/indictments is tainted and would probably be thrown out of court. Then the Uranium One deal has resurfaced. It turns out that the Russians involved were known by the FBI to be engaged is significant extortion, bribery, etc., in conjuction with this deal. Apparently the FBI never brought this to the attention of the people who were approving the deal. An undercover FBI informant who kept detailed records, recordings, etc., has surfaced. The DOJ has lifted his NDA agreement to allow him to testify to the congressional investigation committees. The Director of the FBI at the time was Robert Mueller, the same Special Prosecutor now investigating the Russia/Trump collusion charges. Even the WSJ thinks this stinks to high heaven and has called for Mueller to resign immediately. So, lo and behold, surprise of surprises, Mueller has suddenly filed one or more indictments against parties unknown at this time. Perhaps Mueller thought that he better do it now or he might not get a chance. If he rushed, the cases may not be as airtight as we would like. Also, Congress is calling for a special prosecutor to be appointed to investigate the Clinton email case handling and any surrounding issues. This next week should be fascinating!
