1. Just upgraded Wine from 0.9.9 (Ubuntu current) to 0.9.13 (Wine current). It is noticeably lighter on resources, and feels snappier.
2. You don't have the 1NT F1 bid over 1♦, so you must decide what to do with the 10-12 hands if 2♣ is GF, or play it SA-like (or have other agreements).
3. I see now. I found IE has problems when using a font other than Arial, particularly with the diamond symbol. This is the relevant part in the CSS for the suits: red { color: red; font-weight: bold } .spades { color: blue; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 120% } .hearts { color: red; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 120% } .diamonds { color: orange; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 120% } .clubs { color: #00C000; font-family: Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 120% } .suits { font-family: Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 120% } .hiddenpost { color: #EEF2F7 } This way, the 4-color scheme is done the way Sigi described above, the 2-color scheme uses class="red suits" and class="suits", and the 1-color scheme (the proper one for HIDDEN posts, which just turns the text foreground to the background color, but doesn't work as intended when suits are colorized) is just class="suits". Found that suits look smaller than other characters, so font-size: 120% in the definitions. Also, the colors look right on a light background like this, on others sligthly different ones may work better).
4. Symbol.ttf is the only one used & usable, at least with current client.
5. Note there is at least one table still playing, else you would move already. 6 min is too short, I'm with 7 or 8 tending towards 8. Some people are slower than others.
6. Then ask under what rules are you playing in, as the Laws of Duplicate Contract Bridge are clearly out, sponsoring organizations can't overrule 40A.
7. Looks like giving up the last ♠ at once protects your ♥K, so you lose ♦A, a trump and ♥A at most.
8. isn't it kinda moot given the chance of withdrawing at any time you have?
9. You can do that now, but hand by hand. In any hand in myhands, click on Traveller. You get all the boards which played the same hand then.
10. Reminder for HIDDEN comments: They need closure at the end, a /HIDDEN between []. Normal suits are colored, black suits are not, they hide better. Back to hand, I was in 7♣, playing from the other side, ♠ lead so play was similar. Not a success.
11. If you register mozctlx, atl.dll is not needed. But you need to put BROWSER_TYPE=C in [sYSTEM] section in bbover.ini But ochinko is right, looks like that step is missed (search earlier posts on the thread for MozControl)
12. Please try earlier versions of Wine. Does it work with them?
13. Spanish: ♠ Pica or Pique (latter probably French derived) ♥ Corazón ♦ Diamante ♣ Trébol
14. responsibility comes with it. Muslims are forbidden to represent the human figure, so I think this would make (even more) muslims pissed off, because they used a figure sacred for them. They did publish it without problems. They also have millions of people pissed off at them as a natural reaction, and must cope with it. And their only (apparent) reason was testing the limits. I think they crossed them. Now, muslim reactions are varied, and some of them are overreactions (to my eyes, to West eyes, surely to (most?) part of the muslim world)). That doesn't make the original publication right. BTW, raised Catholic here, not much into religion.
15. Alpha Beta Gamma

Alpha
Beta
Gamma
16. Don't like Ave+, use L12C3? Use 3♠+2, 4♠+1 and 3♥x? Like 60, 10 and 30? If EW get 3♥x, think it is punish enough. No PP.
17. please DO NOT execute wine as root, drop the sudo executable is called NetBridgeVu.exe It is located in "C:\Bridge Base Online\NetBridgeVu.exe" unless you choose a different path. so 'wine "C:\\Bridge Base Online\\NetBridgeVu.exe"' will work. That usually translates to "~/.wine/Bridge Base Online/NetBridgeVu.exe", so 'wine "~/.wine/Bridge Base Online/NetBridgeVu.exe" should work too. All the stub lines show that specific function is not implemented (yet) in Wine.
18. Disclaimer: I'm not a TD I would assign NS a ♠ contract, North keeping correcting South ♥ bids to ♠ as per agreement and his hand. How high would South keep correcting to ♥? That level, in ♠, probably doubled, as many down as good defense would set them. On EW, I don't think playing bad bridge is enough, but, when was TD first called? During the bidding? ♠ contract, may be not as many down as assigned to NS, if actual play at table can be translated to a ♠ contract After the play? Smells like a double shot, they get 5♥= Sounds like the fairest thing for me, but, is it legal?
19. Already there, the red dot shows connection problems (two beats missing?) Who remembers the short lived green square and yellow triangle?
20. It won't help. Symbols are treated with the symbol font, distinct from the other(s).
21. Agree with Arend, must be able to handle both unbid suits rebids by opener, not necessarily having support in them (thought support is almost always there in the unbid major(s))
22. Also, WBF database is not standardized either. Once looked at the argentine players list, spotted at least 10 mistakes (typos, same people appearing twice with slightly different names, etc). Send an e-mail to the provided address (people@.....), last time I checked it was not corrected (has been a while since that, though)
