  1. I find it Ok, that West might upgrade the club-shortage, but then East should downgrade all hcp in ♣
  2. I am unable to reproduce this with the normal robots, could it be the advanced robots?
  3. This deal looks pretty normal [hv=url=https://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?bbo=y&lin=pn%7Cplayer%2CRobot%2CRobot%2CRobot%7Cst%7C%7Cmd%7C1SKT94HA94D3CAK842%2CSQJ763HJT832DATC3%2CS2HQ75DQJ98542C97%2CSA85HK6DK76CQJT65%7Csv%7CE%7Cah%7CBoard%203%7Cmb%7C1C%7Can%7CMinor%20suit%20opening%20--%203%2B%20%21C%3B%2011-21%20HCP%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7C1S%7Can%7COne-level%20overcall%20--%205%2B%20%21S%3B%208-17%20HCP%3B%209-19%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C2C%7Can%7CGood%20support%20in%20S%20--%203%2B%20%21S%3B%2010%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C2S%7Can%7C5%2B%20%21S%3B%208%2B%20HCP%3B%209-13%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cpc%7CC9%7Cpc%7CCQ%7Cpc%7CCK%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CDT%7Cpc%7CDJ%7Cpc%7CDK%7Cpc%7CCJ%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CC7%7Cpc%7CS6%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CSA%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CCT%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CD5%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CH5%7Cpc%7CHK%7Cpc%7CHA%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CHT%7Cpc%7CHQ%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CD7%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CSK%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CH7%7Cpc%7CS8%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CDQ%7Cpc%7CC5%7Cpc%7CHJ%7Cpc%7CD9%7Cpc%7CD6%7Cpc%7CH9%7Cpc%7CH8%7Cpc%7CD8%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CC4%7C]399|300[/hv] but see, what happens when I double 2♣ [hv=url=https://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?bbo=y&lin=pn%7CThorvald%2CRobot%2CRobot%2CRobot%7Cst%7C%7Cmd%7C1SKT94HA94D3CAK842%2CSQJ763HJT832DATC3%2CS2HQ75DQJ98542C97%2CSA85HK6DK76CQJT65%7Csv%7CE%7Cah%7CBoard%203%7Cmb%7C1C%7Can%7CMinor%20suit%20opening%20--%203%2B%20%21C%3B%2011-21%20HCP%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7C1S%7Can%7COne-level%20overcall%20--%205%2B%20%21S%3B%208-17%20HCP%3B%209-19%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C2C%7Can%7CGood%20support%20in%20S%20--%203%2B%20%21S%3B%2010%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CD%7Can%7C11-21%20HCP%3B%20rebiddable%20%21C%3B%20%21CKQ%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7C2D%7Can%7C3%2B%20%21D%3B%205%2B%20%21S%3B%20Q%2B%20in%20%21D%3B%2012-14%20total%20points%3B%20forcing%20to%203S%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C4S%7Can%7C3%2B%20%21S%3B%2010%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CD%7Can%7CTakeout%20double%20--%205-%20%21D%3B%204%2B%20%21H%3B%205-%20%21S%3B%2021-%20HCP%3B%20rebiddable%20%21C%3B%20%21CKQ%3B%2018-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cpc%7CC9%7Cpc%7CCQ%7Cpc%7CCK%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CD8%7Cpc%7CD6%7Cpc%7CHJ%7Cpc%7CHQ%7Cpc%7CHK%7Cpc%7CHA%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CH8%7Cpc%7CH7%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CH5%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CH9%7Cpc%7CSA%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CS8%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CD5%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CC5%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CSK%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CD9%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CS6%7Cpc%7CC7%7Cpc%7CCT%7Cpc%7CHT%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CD7%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CDT%7Cpc%7CDQ%7Cpc%7CDK%7Cpc%7CC4%7Cpc%7CCJ%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CDJ%7C]399|300[/hv] Explanation of 2♦=3+♦, 12-14 total points, forcing to 3♠
  4. You are probably right, but anyway the bot then downgrades the hand - Interesting
  5. [hv=pc=n&s=sa62ha9864dqct652&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1np2dp2hp3c]133|200[/hv] On this hand the bot transfers to ♥, and then bid a gameforcing 3♣ after partner opened 1N, and that seems pretty normal. If LHO double the 2♦ bid, then 3♣ is no longer forcing, but instead 8- points. [hv=pc=n&s=sa62ha9864dqct652&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=1np2dxpp3c]133|200[/hv] The Bot might downgrade ♦Q, but still a large difference between the two bids I still haven't tested if it makes a difference if opener accepts the transfer. And also worth to test if it makes a difference if the hand is a passed hand
  6. I have just tried to recreate the bidding, but here East passes over 4♥, so I will assume it is only for advanced robots

  9. The south hand seems to strong for a direct 4♥ bid, but it seems that after a T/O double the robot will not understand that South has a hand with long ♥s [hv=pc=n&s=s4haqj86432dakjct&w=s753h95dt984cqj43&n=sakqt9hkt7d753c62&e=sj862hdq62cak9875&d=e&v=ns&b=1&a=1cd]399|300[/hv] So after a cuebid of 2♣ in North I found it impossible to get to ♥s as T/O is defined as 3-4♥ and 3-4♠s [hv=url=https://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?bbo=y&lin=pn%7Cglensa%2CRobot%2CRobot%2CRobot%7Cst%7C%7Cmd%7C4S4HAQJ86432DAKJCT%2CS753H95DT984CQJ43%2CSAKQT9HKT7D753C62%2CSJ862HDQ62CAK9875%7Csv%7CN%7Cah%7CBoard%202%7Cmb%7C1C%7Can%7CMinor%20suit%20opening%20--%203%2B%20%21C%3B%2011-21%20HCP%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CD%7Can%7CTakeout%20double%20--%202-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%203-4%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%2012%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C2C%7Can%7C11%2B%20total%20points%3B%20forcing%7Cmb%7CD%7Can%7C11-21%20HCP%3B%20rebiddable%20%21C%3B%20%21CKQ%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7C4H%7Can%7C2-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%204-%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%20biddable%20%21H%3B%2012%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C4S%7Can%7C4%2B%20%21S%3B%2011%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C6H%7Can%7C2-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%204-%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%20biddable%20%21H%3B%2021%2B%20total%20points%3B%20two%20stops%20in%20%21H%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C6S%7Can%7C4%2B%20%21S%3B%2011%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C7H%7Can%7C2-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%204-%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%20biddable%20%21H%3B%2025%2B%20total%20points%3B%20two%20stops%20in%20%21H%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C7S%7Can%7C4%2B%20%21S%3B%2011%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cpc%7CCK%7Cpc%7CCT%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CDT%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CC4%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CCJ%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CSA%7Cpc%7CS8%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CSK%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CDJ%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CS6%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cmc%7C10%7C]399|300[/hv] [hv=url=https://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?bbo=y&lin=pn%7CThorvald%2CRobot%2CRobot%2CRobot%7Cst%7C%7Cmd%7C4S4HAQJ86432DAKJCT%2CS753H95DT984CQJ43%2CSAKQT9HKT7D753C62%2CSJ862HDQ62CAK9875%7Csv%7CN%7Cah%7CBoard%202%7Cmb%7C1C%7Can%7CMinor%20suit%20opening%20--%203%2B%20%21C%3B%2011-21%20HCP%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CD%7Can%7CTakeout%20double%20--%202-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%203-4%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%2012%2B%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C2C%7Can%7C11%2B%20total%20points%3B%20forcing%7Cmb%7CD%7Can%7C11-21%20HCP%3B%20rebiddable%20%21C%3B%20%21CKQ%3B%2012-22%20total%20points%7Cmb%7C3H%7Can%7C2-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%204-%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%2013%2B%20HCP%3B%20biddable%20%21H%3B%2014%2B%20total%20points%3B%20two%20stops%20in%20%21H%3B%20forcing%20to%203N%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C4S%7Can%7C5%2B%20%21S%3B%2010%2B%20HCP%3B%2011-13%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C6H%7Can%7C2-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%204-%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%2013%2B%20HCP%3B%20biddable%20%21H%3B%2014%2B%20total%20points%3B%20two%20stops%20in%20%21H%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C6S%7Can%7C5%2B%20%21S%3B%2013%2B%20HCP%3B%2013-%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C7H%7Can%7C2-%20%21C%3B%203-5%20%21D%3B%204-%20%21H%3B%203-4%20%21S%3B%2013%2B%20HCP%3B%20biddable%20%21H%3B%2014%2B%20total%20points%3B%20two%20stops%20in%20%21H%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7C7S%7Can%7C5%2B%20%21S%3B%2013%2B%20HCP%3B%2013-%20total%20points%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cmb%7CP%7Cpc%7CCK%7Cpc%7CCT%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CD6%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CDT%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CSJ%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CCQ%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CDK%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CD5%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CH9%7Cpc%7CHT%7Cpc%7CS8%7Cpc%7CDQ%7Cpc%7CDJ%7Cpc%7CD9%7Cpc%7CD7%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CCJ%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CSA%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CSK%7Cpc%7CS6%7Cpc%7CH8%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CC5%7Cpc%7CHJ%7Cpc%7CC4%7Cmc%7C8%7C]399|300[/hv] I think the 3-4♥ from T/O-Double is wrong as it can be any 18+ hcp hand
  10. Even for long time members this no longer works as the card will not be available in the web client
  11. I remember making some comments about the usage of FD on BBO, and some errors I have noticed. These topics are no gone, have there been some kind of clean up ? Best regards Thorvald
  12. How do you upload the output from dealer ? (Maybe its more Where do you upload the output file from dealer ?)
  13. Could you give an example of why you want the rand() function ? I have used dealer for more than 20 years now, and never needed that function Thorvald
  14. At the 3 card ending the following information is available to West - only based on the actual play North has a singleton club (He dropped a ♥ at trick 3) North has a least 3 diamonds (He followed 3 rounds) North started with 3 ♥s as he ruffed a ♥ in trick 10 North started with exactly 5 ♠s, neither partner nor dummy could follow the third round of spades So the actual situation is 100 % known So there must be a flaw in the GIB software
  15. I am not sure what went wrong, but as GIB was playing with GIB I think it should know what 3!H was :-)
  16. [hv=pc=n&w=skqjh9dakqckqjt42&e=s743hjt82dj976c93&d=e&v=0&b=14&a=pp2cp2dp3cp3dp3hp4hppp]266|200[/hv] Seems like the bot forgetting the meaning of 3 !H Thorvald
  17. I made a normal double for showing a suit after GIB opening 1 NT that confused GIB http://www.netbridge.dk/bridge/images/GIBError.png Not sure what the error is, but playing in a 3-1 fit with 5-5 in !Cs seems odd Best regards Thorvald
  18. Is this read by BBO-supporters, or should I file a request somewhere else on this site ? Thorvald
  19. For those having difficulties in reading a BSS-file I have created a onlæine version of the different systems on http://bidding.netbridge.dk If you have a file and would like to see it this way you can mail it to me, or attach it to this thread, and I will convert it for you. Thorvald
  20. I am much more interested in the syntax, than the actual bidding - Nobody knows what the intentions of this was ? Thorvald
  21. I was looking the the BBO-advanced FD-file, and noticed the following lines 001N2C{NOT FOR MAJORS}2D{NOT FOR MAJORS}=NYYYYYYA08Jacoby transfer, 5+!hs and a little later in the file 001N2C{LANDY - FOR MAJORS}2D{LANDY - FOR MAJORS}=NYYYYYYA08Jacoby transfer, 5+!hs Ignoring the fact it is strange playing transfer after 1NT-(2♣) showing boths majors, it could look like we should be able to define the same bid with different meanings based on some kind of explanation marked with {}, but I have no idea about how that information can be provided to FD when the bid should be explained - Anyone got any ideas ? Thorvald
  22. The problem is the webservice returning the first letters of the description of the bid. That is probably confusing the tooltip function. I think the service expects there to be information in the agreement category for D and RD Using the web client and the old Windows client and comparing the functionality makes it quite obvious there are software errors as the tooltip Works fine at the Windows client but not in the web client. And during the check of this i notied that Pass do have a tooltip at the Windows client (Though it is showing 008 and not every time) that I have never seen in the web client Thorvald
  23. When using FD it is possible to hoover over the bid before making it and get an explanation of the bid. I have defined the following sequence in FD 1C - (1S) - D as 4+ Hearts, and 6+ hcp When I hoover over the Double prior to making the bid, nothing is show, but after making the bid it is correctly show at the diagram with the bids. It does also look like this could affect explanations of the bidding, as when there are D/RD involved tooltips stops working Regards Thorvald ---------------- For nerds only --------------------------- There problem might be in the implementation of the webservice that returns the information http://webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/u_bm/u_bm.php?cbust=0.9193039480596781&request%5Fid=bf87&v=n&t=f&fk=CC%2FN%2Fthorvald%2F1434667859%5F2761%5FThorvald2%2F899358751&s=P%2D1C%2D1S%2D%2A&d=w <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <sc_bm request_id="bf87" t="f" s="P-1C-1S-*" fk="CC/N/thorvald/1434667859_2761_Thorvald2/899358751" d="w" v="v34" err="0" c="m"> <r b="1N" m="Nat 6-10" f="50NYYYYYY0Na"/> <r b="2C" m="6-9 5-farve" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="2D" m="Nat. rundekrav" f="50NYYYYYY008"/> <r b="2H" m="Forcing. Another strange thing here is that the webservice doesn't return information about what a Pass would show, so that is naturally not shown.
  24. The file where I saw the problem the first time consists of 88.000 bid sequences. My current file, where I have omitted all RKCB-sequences are around 32.000 sequences and is working fine. The size of the file is primarily because it is impossible to reuse sequences like the RKCB-convention. There is a sample of the convention using the "floting"-funtionality of FD, but floating will apply to any previous bid sequence and 4NT currently have 10 different meanings based on the previous bidding Another problem when describing RKCB as a convention is there is currently no way to tell FD what is agreed trumph, So a sequence like 4N - 5C 5D - 5H should have a description based on the agree trumph. So the only way for me to describe these are by expandding all possible bids, and I think i will soon get over 100.000 defined sequences :-) Best regards Thorvald
  25. I have done an extensive Work on describing my system in the FD-system, and it seems I have now hit the limit in the web version, as I get the message: Service not availabe when I try to view the Convention Card - for now I have had to remove some parts of the bidding, but it would be nice if this could be fixed Thorvald
