  1. *grmpf* I am really sorry for that - will remove the screenshot immediately.
  2. pls have a look at http://home.arcor.de/akaestner/temp/bbo.jpg note the "Private" instead of "Name" in the profile.
  3. cannot confirm that - ctrl-L, ctrl-K, ctrl-T and ctrl-B are working fine for me
  4. Win98 SE, 1024x768, High-color 16 bit, 3.6.1 updated update :D Main Bridge Club: Ctrl-W results in the scrollbar being displayed within the kibitzers column. Table: pressing Ctrl-W twice results in a smaller chat window, just like clicking on Maximize/Restore. The Maximize/Restore pushbutton becomes "disabled" (greyed), but it it still working.
  5. Control-T = Tournament Management (when in tournament area) Cursor Up = Scroll up chat buffer one line (Lobby, Table) Cursor Down = Scroll down chat buffer one line (Lobby, Table) Page Up = Scroll up chat buffer one page (Lobby, Table) Page Down = Scroll down chat buffer one page (Lobby, Table) Pos1 = Jump to start of chat buffer (Lobby, Table) End = Jump to end of chat buffer (Lobby, Table) Cursor Up = Scroll up list of entries (tables, tourneys) one line (Bridge Club, Tourney) Cursor Down = Scroll down list of entries (tables, tourneys) one line (Bridge Club, Tourney) Page Up = Scroll up list of entries (tables, tourneys) one page (Bridge Club, Tourney) Page Down = Scroll down list of entries (tables, tourneys) one page (Bridge Club, Tourney) Cursor Left = Scroll left list of visitors (Lobby, Table) Cursor Right = Scroll right list of visitors (Lobby, Table)
  6. DBV - Deutscher Bridgeverband & AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (adolescents and adults against annoying acronym and abbreviation abuse all around america, asia, and australia) :D
  7. What about something like "www.bridgebase.com/statistics" which will summarize the HCPs dealt to N/S/E/W, number of voids, stiffs, suit length, part scores, doubles, slams, grands, etc. etc. per week, month and year? I guess the data is all there - it "only" needs to be collected. That way BBO and its members can track the quality of the deals, and a bit of statistics can be fun too  Andreas
  8. Put a (small) N/S/E/W in front of each player's name or put them into the table symbol (similar to the "D"ealer).
  9. 1) The report goes straight into MS's error database 2) Your privacy is not invaded in any way by this Regards Andreas (former MS MVP for Windows operating systems in 2002 & 2003)
  10. http://www.bridgebase.com/myhands
  11. You may wish to try PassKeep from http://www.gregorybraun.com/PassKeep.html I'm using this neat program since many years - highly recommended! Regards Andreas
  12. I'd suggest the latest version (3.5.4): http://forums.bridgebase.com/in...?showtopic=1778
  13. any chance for a 24hr time format (w/o am/pm)?
  14. You may wish to download 3.5.4 - see http://forums.bridgebase.com/in...y;threadid=1778
  15. Exactly the same "problem" here - I have not mentioned it until now because I thought I had misclicked or considered it a mouse device glitch. OS = Win98
  16. I think this is a good idea - seconded! A "Send to all yellows" (available for the yellows only of course :) ) would be handy sometimes too.
  17. Hi Holger, sounds like you have not installed the latest BBO client software: http://forums.bridgebase.com/in...y;threadid=1778
  18. Works even without using the SHIFT key, if I remember correctly.
  19. same applies to the lobby - have you ever tried to scroll to "zorro" when ~1500 visitors are on? :)
  20. wait until it will be made available :) Seriously: 3.5.2 is still under (heavy beta) testing - please be patient. Regards Andreas
  21. You can count on me, John - nearly any time :) Suggestion for the online help: "What does yellow, black, white, ... mean?" is a FAQ - tried to give a pointer to that question to a new member who had asked for that, but could not find the answer in the online help.
  22. The directory BBO has been installed in - usually C:Bridge Base Online The file is named <BBO-nick>_chat.txt
  23. >> I hoped it was a deal generator handy to customize. No, it's more a hand analyzer --> "[..] has been specifically designed to estimate probability in a pre-bid situation, rather than generating deals for play" >> The installation takes place in BridgeVu so some kind of connection to BBO I assume. No, the program and the accompanying help file will be extracted to any folder you specify. >> Anybody able to help explaining what it really is and perhaps how I will be able to generate a deal generator from this? Open a DOS window (command prompt, also known as console) - change to the folder where the application has been extracted to, and enter "bridgelys". Select the mode you wish to use (1 - 4, or 0), then enter the south hand (e.g. SA, SK, H10, H9, ...), then follow the on-screen instructions. If you are looking for a deal generator, I'd suggest the following link: http://www.google.com/search?q=bridge+hand+generator (or some similar search criteria) Edit: see Deal 3.0 --> http://thomaso.best.vwh.net/bridge/deal/ Regards Andreas
  24. Maybe Fred should implement a third button, so that we have "Yes", "No", and "No, sorry" ;D
