I am curious about the tactical action in today's highlight Spain-Netherlands. "Not-to-loose-no-risky-moves" or quite open attacking football.

I search about it in german sources, The conclusions. There is no extra rule about fouls on goalie in 5m area. But...there are instructions and comments to the IFAB Rule 12 directed to the refeeres , to be particular care about any shoving action on goalie in 5m area, with or without the ball in direct action.

Its not a secret that in english footbal more " body play" is allowed than f.ex. in continental one. The different view on this moment results may be from this fact?

Already the first reply showed this was a clear foul by the forward, This physical play against goalie is no go in 5 m area.

What about the regulation to give both coaches the right 2 times /match to request the video review by the refeeres ( WC, EC, CL....) Max. 4 breaks would not affect the play.

Maybe in 1000 tries or so. But we have only one here. Surely polish or hungarian ice hockey teams have the odds for winnig the next WC, but what does it have with the reality to do?:)

The real life draws the line, the facts of the football. No one of these teams will be World Champion this time to 99,9% >>> not the mathematical odds but with common sense. Australia, South Korea, Cameroon, Japan, Nigeria, Iran,, Ghana, Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Bosnia, USA, Switzerland... I dont know what is the addition of their odds but its doesent matter in the real football life.

Sure but we talk here about real bet and real chances, so I would add this 5% ( and more) to the Brazil, Germany Spain side.

I am not experienced in these things. but suppose this counting bases on the addition of chances of all 21 remaining teams. If we skip the additon of teams which WC win is only theoritically possible I think , that would bring more than 49% for Germany, Brazil and Spain. Is it true, or I am wrong with that logic here?

Thanks Paul. I took a look to the current EBL bona-fide-residence regulations. Now, there is nothing about the evidence of the "real" residence in the "new country", the main reason the change of B-Z has been failed. To get these german documents ( nowdays requiered) is for the US citiziens a piece of cake here.

A quite surprising to see Mr Welland in German Team Open. It seems the EBL handle such things less restrictive as to the times when B-Z unsuccessful tried to move to the Russian team.

IMO this bet is for sure not 1:1 . I would say the chances are 65% to 35% in your favour.

Well, injuried players are in all teams, the pre-WC-time counts not much too, but to fly to Brazil with only one 36y old classic forward (Klose) who played less than a half of last season and win the title?
