  1. Sure. But I was really surprised that France voted for Blatter. M. Platini seems not to have much influence in his "home" federation.
  2. There is a lot of money in FIFA involved ( other world sport federations are financially light years away) There are 207 members with equal rights = one federation, one vote FIFA will be fine only if yellow and orange will dominate this world map of Transparency International. Maybe in the year 2068 or so... http://www.google.de...xcBioLqXNr4bm0Q
  3. oups my english is still so poor as the transparency of the FIFA heh moved to the other place, right?
  4. I am pretty sure this WC will be replaced...and not due to the corruption but the climate, and half empty or empty stadiums we would see in this country with any tradition in soccer.
  5. Blatter won 133:73 I think the only way to get him and his clan out of buisness : All main sponsors of the Fifa say we cant go on like this. But I doubt it can ever happen.
  6. Only one example out of topic.. A single old US judge is able to ruin a whole country, Argentine in this case. His decission to block Argentines foreign debt restructuring and payments on the bond holders which are agreed with this restructuring may lead to bankcruptcy of this country. He means a several Wall Street sharks who bought old Argentinian bonds for the pennies should first become full payment on these bonds = billions. To critiise such a circumstances has nothing with anti-american to do
  7. I can't imagine such an excuse. This would be political suicide for the Tories, wouldn't be? Cameron's main problem by fullfilling his wishes in the EU seems to be the consensus he need by modifying several european treaties. In some cases there will be approval of all 27 goverments needed in other of 27 goverments and parlaments ( Treaty of Lisbon f.ex). A really Herculean task for him Today he visits Warsaw. Polish PM already announced, she will not make any concessions In Brussels in the matter of social benefits for EU immigrants. And now?
  8. To be against Lex Americana is not equal with anti-american.This is bullshit and you know it. This case is not isolate, there were several other where US justice pressured many countries by the way I dont want to name. But it would hijack this topic finally.
  9. No reason to get excited. I wrote clearly FIFA mobster deserve it. But there are other aspects and not only in this case. You may not to belive it, but there are people too in western world who dont like this upcoming Lex Americana. Thats all-
  10. involvrement of internet server in United States = USA can justify everybody under the sun.
  11. No doubt, it was time to start justify the FIFA mobster...but there are a lot of questions in which way it happens. What if the chinese justice let arrested in Brasil corriupt US managers because they break chinese law?
  12. In this case the british fishermen would loose the rights to fish rich West African waters empty, because only EU trawlers have the access there. ( due to the treaties with these countries). This is only one small detail in the "sea of impacts" by In or out decission.
  13. I don't think so. Any significant concessions for sure. If they would start with this ( Treaty of Lisbon etc etc)... more countries would come with their own wiishes.. The times in which screams like " I want my money back" worked in Brussels are gone.
  14. Cameron's actual try to re-negotiate several European treaties is like riding a dead horse. They tell him this everywhere in Europe, but he seems not to belive its a hard reality = eat it or leave it.
  15. Disagree. Even the 2nd Gulf War is the best example that the wide political spectrum is needed for such decissions, to avoid be fast taken in by the liers...like in this case. If military people are frustated or not by the lack of fast decissions is completely irrelevant in a democratic state. In case of the military missions out of the own area they should be silent and wait for the democaratic elected representants of the community, even if it takes longer..
  16. Germany alone expects more than 400.00 this year and the problems to handle it increase rapidly. This mass exodus from the Middle East and Africa is one of the long term results of the Washintgtons and Brussels policy in these regions. Our genial strategists wanted to bring democracy to Iraq. Syria and Libya,..at the and we have there completely failed states. The western interventions and support brought not the freedom and human rights but helped to turn this states into the killing fields with millions of refugees. Did they thought about it in Brussels and Washington before? Ok the bloody despots are dead or fight like Assad the last stand. Are the things better? Not really, they remain the hell on earth. Did Cameron and Sarkozy know what will come after their "hurra bombing" in Lybia? Not really. etc etc All I want to say ...the current refugee desaster is partially self made, but any western politicans would concede its true
  17. Why? Because the economic advantages to be "in" were by far more important for GB than all these Brussels issues that angered Brits ( and not only them!) in the last 40 years. The wing which supported the "out" was never strong enough in the british community. And now comes the question "should we stay or should we go" with radical answer, yes or no. Do you think that such an essencial and komplex move can be answered so? That the average Brit voter knows all the economic impacts of such a decission down to his own job, employment etc etc?
  18. They did. Every four years they voted in GB for politicans who developed, negotiated and accepted all these changes in the EU during last decades.
  19. I add some facts to objectify this nascent discussion http://images.huffingtonpost.com/2014-08-01-PriceofBacon-thumb.jpg
  20. Günter Grass, Nobel-winning German novelist, dies aged 87
  21. Five years after. US-Dollar is strong, Euro relatively weak, Greece struggles still on the edge to the exit...Ireland seems to be save,. Several southern countries are stabilized after hard cuts in their social budgets.. And so celebrates Occupy Movement the opening of the new ECB towers in Frankfurt today http://img.welt.de/img/deutschland/crop138538888/7310878320-ci16x9-w620/Eroeffnung-EZB-Demonstrationen.jpg
  22. Simply a new generation of intelligent cars. To avoid such a confusion germans schould include a voice warning like "hey dude, the night is for sleeping and not for driving, so let the car alone and go to bed. over."
  23. These dutch guys from "Golden Earring" wrote in 1973 the arguably best "driving" R'nR' song ever
  24. The FIFA experts came after years of intensive searching to the conclusion, the summer in Qatar is too hot for football playing. A brillant performance.
  25. A short necro trip to the year 1921 showing how EPO worked in those times. These doped dudes did not think about the lawyers and about 10 000 000 pics with G. Washington. http://www.bikehounds.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/breaktime.jpg
