12 hcp, a solid 5 card major and a stiff. I dunno what WTP means, but context suggest it means the opposite of it was close. Going with 1♥ WTP! Wouldn't have even crossed my mind to pass tbh.

If partner is 6232 and declarer is 1633, I think you would want to take the ace of spades and lead ace of diamonds and then jack of diamonds to shorten board. Such that if partner has the ace or king of hearts he can bury the queen and promote your jack for the setting trick.

I think you can bid 1nt over a minor without the minor stopped. I think he has 4 spades and clubs stopped and wants you to bid 3nt, 4spades or pass if light.

As a B/I player who looked at this hand without reading any comments first, I am leading back the Q♥. The rest of the analyses that would suggest something different is, at the playing table, beyond me.

One way I can see to make is if east has 4 diamonds with at least one of the remaining honors dropping from west. This would give east 2 spades 2 hearts 4 diamonds and 5 clubs. Take the AK of diamonds, if west drops an honor, finesse the remaining honor, take the last diamond and heart then cross ruff with high trump for the last 3 tricks.

So I chickened out and bid 2clubs raised the 2diamond relay and then bid 4 hearts when west came in with 4 clubs. Result was bad.

As best as I can figure, that disarms your stated line of play of While preventing 2 diamond ruffs and still leaving the K♠ dead(ruffed if pulled before trump and inaccessible if ruffing a diamond)

I must be missing something, but even if you play for the drop you still finesse the first round, you don't lose anything and in this case you make a bundle.
