  1. I would bid 4♦. I dont mind a DBL, however, I am afraid to end in a 4-3 4♥, whereas 5♦ might be cold. But anyway with hands like this one just flip a coint and make your choice :D
  2. I would Dbl. I think DBL should be t/o and pass is forcing to DBL which would either be passed or make a bid showing slam try interest. If partner is not interested in doubling I think he would just bid what he has.
  3. I would bid 2nt 4+cards support and Inv+. For me 3♦ would be inv+ with 3cards. If partner bids game I would continue with 5di or might just bid 6♠. Over 3sp I would bid 4♣ and if he bids 4♦ I would go with 4♥ - if he signs off in 4♠ I would pass.
  4. I would have opened 1♠ in the first place. If I was 6-4 I might have given it a go with this hand. Otherwise a 5♠ card spade suit if I am to dbl I will prefer to have some 2.5 tricks in defence :) But then again everything can always go wrong :)
  5. I would open 1nt because it reflects what I have 14-16 bal. If I open 1♠ I would have a rebid problem over 1nt by partner.
  6. I would DBL and then bid 2/3♥ which is asking for stopper or slam try. I play precision so my partner's hand is limited and I am not worried to get too high. :)
  7. I would win and take the ♦ finess: 1) If it wins I play ♥ to the 10. If it loses by a J♥ and a ♦ comes back then I will play LHO for 4441, I will finess again and cash the A♦. If RHO ruffs I overruff, ruff ♥, ruff ♠, draw trumps and set up ♥. If he discards a ♥, I discard a ♥, ruff ♠, ruff small ♥, ruff ♠, draw trumps and claim. If ♥ loses by a J♥ and a ♣ comes back then I will draw trumps and finess ♦ again for 3-3 and if they turn to be 4-2 I will play for 3rd K♥. 2) If Q♦ loses to the K♦ and a trump comes back I will need 3-3♦ so LHO has strated with 4432. If a ♦ comes back then I will need 3rd J♥ with LHO.
  8. I dont have any epectations for my partner's hand. In this type of situation I ask myself 3 questions: - Is it more costly to pass or DBL? - I think pass. - What would most people do in my situation? - I think DBL.
  9. The odds for 3-1 are 49 and for 2-2 are 40. On top of that if LHO has a length in ♥ then the odds for LHO to have a length in ♣ start to increase. Therefore, small to the 8 or ducking the 9 turns to be not bad after all compared to running the J♣ :)
  10. I remember that I read somewhere that the Blue Team played always 4M if they had to choose btw 3nt and 4M :)
  11. I am with A♦ and small ♥. If it loses run the 9♠ from dummy. I dont like playing small ♦ because I dont like going down at trick 1 without exploring other options. If the Ace♥ is led I will still finess the RHO's Q♠ because if I was LHO and the bidding was the same I would defo lead my A♥ - it is a gamble but I dont want to be missing AK♥ :)
  12. I think non-serious 3nt because you can limit your hand and dont overbid. It is important, however, to discuss what is the limit of the non-serious bid so that pd would know what to expect when you go 3nt or 4x. It might be also a good idea to vary the non-serious 3nt with serious. For example, when one of the hands has shown a minimum hand and the other, which is unlimitted, bids 3nt it should be clearer that you look for ♣ cubid rather than using it as a non-serious because you will just bid 4M for example and end the action. :)
  13. It might be a good idea to discuss when to jump to 3sp like here and when not to. For me 3sp bid eats space so I would prefer partner to bid 2♠ as we are in GF after all and over 2♠ I can show my distribution - i.e. 2nt 5422, 3♥ 55, 3♦ 5431 etc. :)
  14. I play 2di to show 5-5 so the bid is btw DBL and 2sp. DBL most of the time will be 4hearts 5spades. Therefore I go with 2sp :)
  15. For me the double over 1nt is clubs. However, I would take the double over 2♣ as ♦+♥.
  16. [hv=pc=n&s=saj3hkqtdat64ca62&d=e&v=0&b=14&a=3c]133|200[/hv]
  17. [hv=pc=n&s=sat754h765dat64c7&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=1d(Precision)2c]133|200|What is your call X or 2sp - non forcing[/hv]
  18. I disagree that west has to be 5512 because if East had 4 - 4 in the minors he would be = choice. Because if you look at N/S hand they are 3-1 in both minors. Therefore West should be 1-1-5-6 cause with 4-4 in minors East would have bid differently. Therefore Cashing Ace of spades and finess with J♠ is safe.
  19. 1) 1di (prec) - 1he 2) 2cl 9+ in minors - 2sp 4th suit forcing 3) 3di 5di 4th club no stopper in spades and without support - 4NT obvious diamond RKC otherwise over 2cl 4nt would be inv 4) 5sp - 5NT , 5) 6cl - king of clubs - 7di lets give it a shot 4he, 6di(club ruff), Asp, A Kclubs
  20. 2♦ weak 2 in a major or if you play 2he as a t/o over 2di multy then let it be 2di weak 2 in diamonds Ax QJxxxxx AQx x 2♥ or 3♥ - what would means? probably that sort of hand?
  21. 1sp - 3di - 4di is raise with spade support showing 11+points and at least points for a game also it is not necessary to have diamond cu bid, 4♥ by responder is cu bid not necessary slam try but with a decent hand otherwise if not interested in slam just bid 4♠. 4♠ after 4♥ cu bid just shows the 11-13(14) values. 4♦ after the X would be generally forcing to slam without a 5card suit and support, because you will bid 4nt as invitation and without support. 4sp over 3di will be constructive. I suppose these bids are standard.
  22. I would pass and hope we dont go down in 2♥ :D
