    Whats up?

Speaking of working, I didn't go to work today because I didn't feel well. I watched Just Shoot Me reruns, pretty underrated show imo. GL with med school dude.
  3. I would open 2S and I consider myself generally conservative with preempts that aren't w/r
  4. Thanks for dropping the cap lock, Einstein. WANNA PLAY MONEY BRIDGE?

    DONT

EZ 2D. Parnters suits could be equally long or equally one could be longer with (54). One time I might hit partner with my 4 bagger, so it's clearly right to bid.

    Whats up?

I'm just playin poker, havin some vino, chattin with gwnn, which I say GWYNN? What about y'all?
  7. in my world north has a good hand with diamonds. HOWEVER. Standard is t/o I think.
  8. To me it doesn't make much sense to compare Soloway and Zia as players because they are (or were in the case of Paul) very different types of players. Soloway was perhaps the most "solid" player I have ever played against. The frequency of his errors, even when his health was failing, was extremely low. His bidding judgment was truly exceptional. Zia is what I would call a "flair player" - he is gifted in terms of things like imagination and table presence. IMO Soloway was and Zia still is among the very best (or maybe even the best) of their respective species, but we are talking about 2 very different species of bridge players. Which species turns out to be best in terms of an effective partner for the great Hamman remains to be seen... Fred Gitelman Bridge Base Inc. www.bridgebase.com Yeah man, they were/are ridic good. But I believe the Zia type is a better type of partner for Hamman. Of course this is just speculation.
  9. THEY EARNED IST WATF IS THE PROBLEM GUYSSSSSSssssssssssssssssss???????
  10. How's it goin? Sup?
  11. Table 1: 1S-not my style X-perfect XX-perfect 4H-I like it 4S-yeah for sure 5D-I think it's a pass. This worked well. X-I think it's obv. Unlucky to have 0 diamond tricks, totally defensive hand. Unlucky. Table 2: 2S is not my style, I prefer blasting and putting pressure on, but it's ok. X- I hate doubling, but I would pass. It's really unlucky for this to be a double game swing looking at 2 hands single dummy.
  12. Mundane 4D. 3N could work but it seems a long way off.
  13. yes pass covers 85 very nicely! after passing now doubt you will be able to describe your hand perfectly.
  14. I kinda want to open 3C but I'm sure I would open 4C irl.
  15. That was my immediate reaction, too. Then I realized that the ♦A lead pretty much beats it whenever partner has an ace or ♦K. That is almost always the case with an Ax and the trump ace. There is a reason you don't always make this lead. It's slightly better than usual because of the trump 9, but against that lead your long suit with 4 trumps will often be effective.
  16. I don't drink it makes me wanna jump off a cliff
  17. Well, it is the last quarter for the quarterfinal, and still in the first half for the final: might be part of the reason. And, the final is not particularly close. And the USA 2 match has clearly better teams than the USA 1 match lol.

    USBF Smoking

It's in the bulletin. ah. Shane was one of my guesses, but i bricked the others.
  19. Its the hero lead. Forumers like hero bids/leads/plays
  20. Well this is untrue. If you don't open 1N with xx xx QJT9xx Kxx w/r in third seat vs a novice you are costing yourself imps in the long run. Even with higher volatility vs a bad pair, you are gaining in expectation for sure. However I still believe its not right to do so. What? I played about 5 club games a week for a year and a half, but jdonn doesn't play bridge obv.
