If you are sitting in the lobby the blue button says Lobby. If you want to chat to the lobby just type your message in the chat line and hit the Chat button.

At the left of the chat line at the bottom of the screen is a blue button to set where your chat goes. By default it is set on Lobby. If you are at a table the default changes to Kibitzers. So if you are at a table and want to chat to the Lobby just click that blue button, select Lobby, and chat away.

If that is, in fact, the case then I'm all for it. But the key words are "registered" and "requested".

As Josef Stalin said, "It doesn't matter who casts the votes. What matters is who counts the votes." That's what worries me. I respect your right to cast your vote as you see fit. And I feel that you respect mine. But mailing out unsolicited ballots to god-knows-who really bothers me. If Biden wins fair and square I can accept that. If he wins by political chicanery...well life goes on and I hope my offspring (and yours) live through it. God (or whomever) Bless America.

I cannot tell you how many complaining players I directed to that post. It's gone now. I wish she'd post it again. After all this time apparently there are a substantial number of members who still haven't read the post and therefore haven't figured out how to maneuver the two server setup.

I could not disagree more. I think it was Alan Truscott who mused, "Bridge is essentially a social game which, unfortunately, attracts a substantial number of antisocial people." Our small local club doesn't really have any antisocial people; we have a few who are cantankerous but, by and large, we enjoy each other's company. I miss that. If you are content to sit at a keyboard and pitch digital pixels I'm happy for you. As for me, I'm looking forward to the day when I can sit across from my partner and have him yell, "Why didn't you lead a diamond?"

Suppose it were a f2f Regional. What would the game fees be? $15? I don't know; I haven't played in one for years. But I'm sure the ACBL got something out of it, the District got something out of it, and they had to pay for the playing space...hotel or whatever. And what about those who traveled to play in those games? They had to rent hotel rooms, pay for meals, etc. I don't know what BBO gets out of a $15 entry fee for an online regional, but I would bet that it's a lot less than the Marriott in Atlanta gets. And the ACBL still gets the bulk of the money. IMO BBO is just as entitled to whatever they charge as the Marriott is. You gotta ask yourself how much is the roar of the greasepaint and the smell of the crowd worth? So who changed? BBO? Or you?
