Hi J Just curious did East make any noises as to them not bidding 3♥ had they known it was the dreaded Guess Tem :
-
 my bladder ??? :D
-
 but bidding 4♥ to force is logical whereas systemically double is not B-)

How do I find an Acol table?
shintaro replied to timbob's topic in General Bridge Discussion (not BBO-specific)
true under Public Clubs It is at the top of the list -
;) what do you do if they trust each other and re-double ??? :)
-
 wow aint that clever I lead a ♣ from my holding and find partner with the Ace especially when I am not sure what Ace (If any) he could hold So leading Blindly into a possible AQ ♣ is correct ;) ♦ for me
-
 Get whoever did it to write out 100 times 'I must pay attention to the Game' B-)
-
B-) Forgot to add I have hundreds of Tropical Fish But you cant realy class them as pets as you cannot really take them out for walkies (unless you freeze then on a lolly stick I suppose)

 Definite Cat lover here Last Feline of many over the years named 'Marmalade' (let the more intelligent guess his colouration) Rat lovers dont read on He would come home bearing Gifts of Rats from a local Farm Was huge but went and got himself run over sad really ;)

yes paul I agree and kind of assumed that; pity really it would be better IMHO that they ran in the proper sequence ;)
-
 In a possibly very similar vein Paul I constructed hand lin files for use in Teams sets 1 to 6 7 to 12 13 to 18 When I loaded them into the Teams to play they all came out in sets of 1 to 6 (no 7 to 12 13 to 18)

The Team Setter has the power to put in a Substitution Manually so one possible way is to inform the person who is down as the setter

I your Cicles perhaps Jeremy :D -
mmm I have stephanie up 2 at teams :)
-
mmm Why dont you just play a form of Houdini The opener re-doubles when it gets back to them which asks partner to bid their longest suit IF WEAK If however they hold say 8+ points and balanced then leave it in ;)

With me Directing I put in only one third of non played boards in Triella/Threeway/Triangle then split the boards that are being played in rest of competition between the 3 tables making up required number using boards to be dealt People seem to like this as it means they at least play 2 thirds of actual competition hands ;) -

As you have put here you are not talking about Swiss Teams anyway but a Multiple Teams event where ALL play ALL so in fact you could ALL play the same boards anyway ;) -

B-) The main problem running Swiss Teams where you do not have Pre-Duplicated Boards is what I will term the 'Lottery Act' If you always go to a Table and Deal the Boards and those boards are then only played between your 2 teams Then it totally depends on what hands are dealt as to what you get to play with. So not a very level playing field when other tables are playing either a worst boring set of hands or indeed a fine set of possible meaty Slam hands. ;) -

 Just say for arguments sake that some bozo doubles you in a Rock contract which you re-double and it brings in a Shedload of imps. Because of this abonimation should you win the overall event ???? ;) -

not an issue nowadays surely We can and Should all play the same Boards Scoring is a different matter do you think winning by total imps is better than using a VP scale my vote would be for VP scales as it stops really outlandish amount of imps being a factor B-)
