yeah okay. this makes this thread even worse then.

i chose 3d. in my regular partnership 3s after would show 6 and i would probably rebid 3nt. if he really doesnt like 3nt then he will bid 4s.

Why would you think you're unqualified? The answer is, you have a great experience and maybe next time won't feel like a fluke. maybe i worded it poorly. it was late last night. anyways. maybe not that i am underqualified but shouldnt be the point of the trials be to send the best possible teams with a chance of winning. i know there are lots of juniors that are much better than i am. so shouldnt they be the ones to go to have the best chance of winning the event? just saying that one pairs trials doesnt seem like the best way to do this. with the time constraints though i guess its the only way for this year.

Are all USA juniors open to play? If so, and a junior pair that enters(myself and one of my friends) does well enough to make the team but has no right really being on the team by qualifications, what happens then. It seems selection would be better than having the chance that some unqualified juniors make up the final team.

this is in offline bridge so i dunno if i can answer but i did anyways. i chose 2c and then 2nt over 2 red and 3 s over 2 s. anyways i liked how it was 33.33 all the way down at time of posting this.

12-14 or 15-17 depending on the partner.

ive been playing 4 years or so, but i dont get to play too often with regular partners or live because of school. bbo has helped me leaps and bounds though. i only have 25 masterpoints but can play much better than the number. i wish more people would not use the number as the be all end all for skill level in the acbl realm. end rant lol

i lead a diamond. they have hearts and spades. i don't want to lead a club because my clubs suck. i lead a diamond and hope it helps us.

I found Bridgemaster helped me a ton as well. Although I wanted to throw my computer out the window because they kept switching cards lol.

Gwnn are you referring to the Total Point Bridge Club on BBO? That is exactly how it runs there. I find it very interesting but the format to make it very dependent on luck of the draw with the cards. If your opponents get a cold slam or cold game with overtricks in that 4 boards, it is very difficult to come back.

im just intermediate player but i would bid 3nt. seems better then 5c. if 3nt is an option i would usually choose that.

I am looking to learn precision. Does any one have any books they would reccomend or websites? Is there one general precision system that everyone would know? Thanks in advance.

i could plan the play, but before i can do that, can someone explain 2/4 leads as well as 3/5 leads. I hear both of these frequently and am not sure what they mean. Thanks

skipping all the arguments, i think 4h is a signoff by south. also they are a passed hand. just my 2 cents.

this is one reason why i think i suck at bridge. i tend to play too quickly and do not put enough thought at times into what could go wrong, or how the cards could be split. also i find it hard to get a regular partnership going. i have a few online starting to develop now but f2f, i haven't had a regular partner in a long time. much the reason i don't play live much at all anymore.

do u remember what his partner had? was that an obvious pass over 1♠, just curious.
