Exactly as u guessed, West had ♦AKTxx. And u also gave the reason for me asking this. After this board I dunno whether the 2nd double would create confusion for partner, and wondered what's in standard methods the 2nd X would mean to most people. In the end, partner did lead ♦2, and ♦QJx was not together in declarer's hand ;) As to why the bidding went like that, I can never know... NB: Only a ♦ lead (any ♦ of course) can set the contract. If E lead anything else, u give them 6N, as actually happened in one table where the auction went p-1♣-p-6NT-p-p-p, and the only other honour between the two hands was an onside ♣Q
