  1. Why does this trigger singleton system Delta by Lukasc Slawinski??
  2. Over 5S, won't they go 6H? Now, 6S sac? I pass.
  3. Partner saw me bid 3NT. He can decide our best course. Pass.
  4. What's not in double/ bids? 2-suiters? Which are best shown directly? Which try one then second if space and safe? Systemic, choose your accent. I like H-m in 2NT.
  5. May I use transfer advances here? 2C -> 5+D with a) signoff hopes :) to be followed with strong bid. That fits with next a 3S cue. Now partner's 2H to D-xfer shows long H + long C( refusing xfer only with max/distributional hand). WE are well placed for 6C/5C decision.
  6. Would partner X with 3+DT eg. H-A+S-AK? Yup. He didn't. Pass. 6C making is more likely than a big set.
  7. Show stop now or next? I like 2D to see if partner has real clubs and up-going. Or 4-4M on a convenient 1C opener.
  8. On both hands, I think the S-stop/no S-stop is paramount. Hand 1 has stop so 1NT even shy a Q. This doesn't bar partner showing good hearts. Hand 2 is cue 2S asking S-stop /or where? Again light, but focusing on S-stop.
  9. Playing a M>m canape, I open 1S with 4+S even also 5-6c minor. This is extreme: 7xC but I don't intend to insist clubs without tolerance from partner.
  10. Try Maf by Cheil Voorheis, Mafia Club by Ken Lindsay.
  11. I'm with Rob F Power double. Mostly because other bids are freed up for distributional descriptions. That leaves D-Hxx+ likely/ common. Partner has xfer takeouts or penalty pass =many options for HIS fault for a bad result. Generally he has the burden of our partnership's judgment.
  12. I like 2C =GF. My hand should produce 4 tricks by ruffs or by long clubs. Partner needs to know C-fit needed for up-try. Fast arrival 4H next.
  13. Do I like -300 vs.-170? No. Maybe even -170 vs. -420? No. Do I like +50 vs. -140? Yes. I pass. They likely made their game/partial decision correctly, but maybe not.
  14. 2D-2NT- 3NT. Using 2D =13-17, 5+D, usu no 4cM.
  15. Leave this hand for our reopening scheme. IF partner reopens.
  16. Consider if you are clever with 4cM, 1NT won't need Stayman to check for 4-4M only 5-3M(would have opened 4cM). Either so scattered honors or 4333 that NT likely superior even if 4-4M exists. But no blab 4cM to Stayman leaves defenders in the dark. Turn your mind then to nefarious 2-bids, 3-bids responding to 1NT. Further, many auctions won't need negative double, another freed call. Then, seeing 4cM handled /experienced, try 4c overcalls! That way lies madness. Totally foreign to bridge authority --can't be right/ winning! Or can it?
  17. If I bid here what do I do with 2 added aces?
  18. Power double with xfers on(joker nee Herbert lowest xfer). 1S->xfer to C asks stop or what else.
  19. Could partner define his raise: with 1+DT vs. purely fit values. My partner would distinguish a pure offense 2S raise from a support X type raise with a defensive trick. Thus 2S has no defense, nor do I. 5H and hope I haven't given them a second chance to find 6S.
  20. I'm okay with 4S, but my first bid is not 1NT, but 2S and partner's 3D is help suit.
  21. I think my partnership's reopening structure can catch up after an initial pass. IF partner reopens.
  22. Luckily I open 4cM even canape 5cm, so I opened 1H, with easy 2D rebid.
  23. Yup. Show the short. If partner likes it, he'll show good stuff -even S-Qx raise. If not liking, maybe 3NT is last okay game, or 4m ends GF.
  24. What ARE my choices? May I Rapter 1NT and rebid 2H (some appeal as shows weak distributional)? May I wjo 2H without top H --is this expectable in this partnership(that has appeal)? My partnership severely restricts 1H, but 2H is free-wheeling so this works.
