Hi folks Friends have been disappearing. They are playing in the casual are and do not appear on friends list. They claim not to have logged on invisible. Has tge whole bunch of them ghosted me? Thanks.

I could send her the youtube link and then she can click it. She agreed to hire a computer techie to come to her home and I wrote a list of things for her to tell him to do. the difficulty for her is real folks, she is 85 yo with parkinson's and even requires someone to assist with the operation of her cell phone. even before bbo announced the change I had been asking my friends to switch, many of them have not, not even having any legitimate reason for doing so.

Hello bboer's I am writing on behalf of one of my partners who is a naive computer user. Her computer has the old bbo at startup, and that is how she logs in, she does not even know how to log off. When I try to tell her what to do, like ' go to your browser', she does not understand the terminology. I am sure there are many users in this situation. I was wondering if one savvy member could make a youtube video to help these users, showing them how to start the browser, and perhaps even update java. the link to the video could then be posted and shared. Thanks.

Long ago at main bridge club BBO, I noticed that are some characters who double your contract and, when they notice you are going to make, they keep claiming till you make a mistake and hit the yes button. I consider that a form of harassment. An I thank god for my enemy list. I remember my partner accepting a bogus claim by declarer when i held the setting ace of trumps. Now today, my partner was declarer, and he was doubled. He was going to make it, but the opp claimed down one at a tourney, and he misclicked while playing at a tablet. Teh 'director" said it was his mistake and would make no adjustment. I logged off, and so did the partner. Thing is, this affects the results of others. and it is sad that there is no recourse. My silly question is this: If this was a real life game, and a nervous or distracted partner succumbed to a bogus claim, would he have any recourse. PS. the fact that i missed out on the $0 grand prize does not bother me lol)

there are a couple of tricks, like passing out a hand that does not give you a desirable contract. if for example, you need 2 diamonds to win, and the bot bids an inverted 2 diamonds, just pass it.

And, my sound on the web browser has been gone, ever since the list changed.

well i have managed to significantly reduce my comsumption of soda. took a long time to acquire a taste for green tea, but white tea tastes good by itself. one thing i have noticed tho, day-old decaffenated white or green tea smells and tastes nasty. otherwise i drink iced, up to a day old tea. i still dont believe the antioxidant stuff, that tea contains more than fruits and vegetables. that is good, i hate salads (bad habit acquired from growing up where ameba infection is endemic) but white tea is good, even without sugar.

somehow i have greatly devalued the word expert since loitering at bbo. last friday i was having an argument completely unrelated to bridge. my interloper had some weak argument to support her cause. The matter did come to an end when she pronounced ( and it sounded rehearsed): Having a master's degree in ********* and being an expert in ******, I determined that to be the correct course of action. Ah. That explains it, it is like trying to explain to someone that 1nt-4hnt is not blackwood. I walked out, lol.

in a way, i like that the tv story was condensed and some pointless stories removed, like the trek between the death of yoren and the capture of arya and gendry. also glad adam marbrand was melded with bronn, why did he exist in the first place. i read the first three books fats, the fourth took forever, the pace just became too slow.

Occasionally i get invited to team matches by users of the brick and mortar server. it seems dificult o join team matches in the web server first there is not navigation button that lists all team maches, so i had to look hard to figure out that it was hidden in the list all tables button. the picture of peding team matches looked like this. this team match said anyone could play, i thought great, on a sunday the experts are at home playing wih their moher in law. i clicked on a seat, but was denied, i clicked to join and i could kib, click on a seat again, denied again. heartbroken, i went out to buy some valium. shouldnt there be some kinf of partnership desk for pairs and the lonesome to sit waiting for a team match? thanks

yes that is an annoyance, i remember once holding the ace of trumps, and refusing declarer's claim twice, my partner obliged him. i mentioned this recently, and on previous occasions here, but bbo wants it to remain that way. some bromide about bridge being a partnership game.

Next time, before issuing a sugestion, demand CASH ON DELIVERY. that way the burden sgifts to you to thank bbo.

is it possible to prevent defenders from claiming and conceding tricks in the express no-director indies? let declarer alone claim or concede. this afternoon a dclarer claimed and i rejected because a high trump was left the bell then announced that declarer would be replaced in 7 seconds and my partner promptly accomodated it by conceding all tricks lol, maybe i should try that when i see i will not meet my contract

you can better the dishwasher by a whole lot. using a double sink, or a second dish pan, set one dish with soapy water set the other with rinsing water -- wash the glasses first -- wipe all the other dishes, soap then rinse -- leave dishes where you used egg or other smelly stuff for last , you might want to add bleach to the soapy water at this stage

may i improve on these suggestions? 1) block the bbo websites on all airports to prevent players from signing up for games within 45 minutes of a flight 2) block bbo websites 45 minutes prior to closing time on all starbucks to prevent folks from rushing me 3) block bbo websites 45 minutes from dinnertime so i do not suffers wives and husbands wrath for playing too slow 4) tell impatient folks to restrict their games to speedballs and express games
