I voted for 2NT. If pd has more than minimum for his overcall, he is free to go for game. I had too much in ♠, I am not that optimistic about game. With a suit contract, AQJ could be totally wasted: Before you establish some tricks in S, opps might have taken their winners on pd's short minor, while it is useless to pitch the long minor. If ♠J becomes ♣J or combined into DQ, I might bid game (3NT).

I would open 1C as Phil does. And if wine waiter opened 1S for me, I would also pass. dbl or 3C do not attract to me.

Indeed tough decision. But I voted for double.

I am in favor of 15-17 range for 1NT oening. Since 2NT opening (including 1x-1y-2NT) deprives the space for invitation for game (3NT or 4M), it is not good to have a big range. I play 18-19 for 1x-1y-2NT and 20-21 for direct 2NT.

nfb is my favorite. I always try to sell it to my partner whenever possible.
