  1. What should North bid? Thanks[hv=pc=n&n=s3hakqt84d5cak952&d=e&v=e&b=6&a=p1dp1hp1np]133|200[/hv]
  2. Partner may just have 2 clubs. Won't he assume I have minimum 5?
  3. What should E bid? Also does the fact that there were 3 passes before his partner opened 1♣ affect his bid? Thanks [hv=pc=n&w=sak5hatdj9cqjt965&e=st98h974dq87cak83&d=n&v=e&b=9&a=ppp1c1s]266|200[/hv]
  4. No:bidding went: 1♠ - p -2nt - p -3♣ - p -4♠
  5. [hv=pc=n&s=skj952hkq832da6c9&n=sqt43hj9dkqj2cq43]133|200|4S S Lead 4D MPs[/hv] 4 ♠ is cold. The 4♦ lead could be a doubleton , singleton or from 3 or more cards. You can play off the K and Q♦ to get rid of the club loser. Is it too risky? Thanks
  6. Hi J86. AKQ532. A53. K. (Dummy) AQ5. 84. KT8642. A2 (Declarer) Contract 3NT. MPs. Club lead leaving one stopper in declarer's hand. I started with hearts as there are better odds of a 3/2 break than a 2/2 one. Are there other factors in play? (In fact hearts split 4-1 and diamonds 2-2). How should you play this hand? Thanks
  7. What is the difference between: 1♦- 1♥ - 3♥(showing a good raise) and 1♦- 1♥ - 2♥? Many thanks
  8. If partner opens after I have passed, should I jump to show my extra values with 10 or 11 points? I always seem to have a 4 (rather than 5 or 6) card major and a flattish hand (or I could bid 2c/d) and am nervous of jumping with only a 4 card suit.
  9. Playing 5 card majors, strong NT, 2way checkback. 1. 1c - p- 1s - p - 1nt - p - 3? I have been told that after this sequence of bidding, a bid at the 3 level is forcing. However, if opener rebids 1nt and I say 2h, I was taught that this meant a two suited hand and 6-9 points. What happens if you have 10-11 points? Many thanks
