So for the hand of 7♦ i've this one by Richard Pavliceck (you must click directly on Problem 3): http://www.rpbridge.net/7x32.htm The point is that these hands in sacrifice are seen published around very few but instead should be considered the opposite case or that should be more both at the level of game and as partial and doing so would greatly benefit the knowledge and study of bidding situations and / or about force and / or about shape.

Bridge is a game, fortunately for everyone, based on mathematics and therefore should not be surprising if you can find a way that can lead you to achieve the result more precisely. This fact can be found when we talk, for example, about the evaluation of the hand (by various methods). Of course it is very useful to have more than one gadget of this type. Even the rather detailed defense bidding gains from a greater precision and becomes more effective. The sacrifice bidding, especially in competition, finds different aspects of study (among declarations, vulnerabilities, conventions, research of the fit) that do not end shortly. This is not the context in which to address an argument also rests on different points of view and it has to consider the system used by partnership at the table. Therefore there are many ways to approach the topic and i renew the request simply to know why it is not seen or studied (even to open a future speech for exchange of views) with examples of hands (the most profitable vulnerability should be white vs red) and i have also a 7♦ sac vs 6♠ where is necessary to find a line to gain a trick. For how the topic is treated in the meantime I can report two YouTube videos by BridgeHands: 1) The defense never rest: 2) Bridge defense & bidding part 2:

The interest to use this type of declaration arises when a couple declares a contract that is usually able to achieve at game level and whose acceptance involves a negative result around the - 4 imps. Therefore it continues to declare by the other couple that has identified its their own phytosis loss of fit or a safe loss (if it had not intervened) in gaining the minor penalty for the abatement referred to the vulnerability and in application of the rule of 2 and 3 and related corrective . Since this is a profitable and important aspect of the problem, also interesting at the table because it represents well the competition as well as the declarative vivacity, I do not explain why this is not often discussed with examples of declarations. Certainly it is nice to show how to make a contract with some play of the hand or some not simple technique and this may perhaps be the reason rather than to represent that the other couple has messed up the cards because he has well defended but you could also think that broadens the possibilities to talk about it considering the discussion for both parties. Perhaps the only author who has dealt with this aspect has been Peter Hall with the book "Competitive bidding at pairs" which deals with Matchpoints but his indications can well apply to IMPs. Moreover there are a whole series of rules and cautions that must be followed and applied and that sometimes make it all non-trivial as always happens in the game of bridge. Sometimes the gain is such that you get a top if you can even achieve the contract usually doubled (but not always) or if you can push the other couple in what is called "phantom sacrifice". So, again, why is this not being more publicized? Your thoughts will be welcomed if possible accompanied by examples (the four hands) or indications for other books that have dealt with it, thank you.

Infact it is so: because you are landing in 7♥ if you want try NT have to ask ..6♠(=? King) and having 6NT(=yes K) as answer you can bid 7NT but needs that club suit is already estabilished (if partner has another card and suit breaks 3-2) or a simple squeeze there is. But this is not how the compound says(=unilateral in club) and with this ending only a balanced or "type R" double squeeze is possible.(Lovera)

I've found another site about FSF and when is used also by opener: http://www.pattayabridge.com/conventions/4thsuitforcing_main.htm
-
Also can be interesting to have conditions about force and answers priorities when FSF is applied by opener.

Your responses to partner's 2 Clubs opening bid?
Lovera replied to cartruck's topic in Expert-Class Bridge
About jump bidding by 2♣ opener (see url in post #66) the 3NT (as negative) answer shows only a King or less whilest with an Ace can be raised trump and considering also that to get slam can be necessary a K w/ a Q aside or two Kings in right specific suits. -

When the conditions are stictly defined for a positive answer the 2♦ as negative one is better and saving space when are lacking these indications. Anyhow the 2♣ opening that i use is forcing till 2NT or if is repeted a major suit two times (as double negative). -
What i hoped it's happened and now remains to see as this song will be presented at ESC2018: https://youtu.be/rPsdL0Whbr8

This is the english translation of the song of Ermal Meta and Fabrizio Moro "Non Mi Avete Fatto Niente" actually in the contest of Sanremo Festival 2018. Tonight there will be the final evening and i hope they can win so this song will be represented for Italy on Lisbona Eurovision Song Contest. The message is strong and is referred at what happened in France and Spain: In Cairo they do not know what time it is now The sun on the Rambla today is not the same In France there is a concert people have fun Someone sings loudly Someone screams to death It always rains in London but today it does not hurt The sky does not even discount a funeral In Nice, the sea is red with fires and shame People on the asphalt and blood in the sewer And this huge body we call Earth Wounded in his organs from Asia to England Galaxies of people dispersed in space But the most important is the space of a hug Of mothers without children, of children without fathers Of faces illuminated like walls without paintings Minutes of silence broken by a voice You did not do anything to me You did not do anything to me You have not taken anything from me This is my life that goes on Over all, besides people You did not do anything to me You did not have anything Because everything goes beyond your useless wars There are those who make the cross And who prays on the carpets Churches and mosques the Imam and all the priests Separate entrances of the same house Billions of people hoping for something Arms without hands Faces without names Let's exchange the skin After all we are human Because our life is not a point of view And there is no pacifist bomb You did not do anything to me You have not taken anything from me This is my life that goes on Over all, besides people You did not do anything to me You did not have anything Because everything goes beyond your useless wars Your useless wars The skyscrapers will fall And the subways Contrasting walls raised for bread But against all terror that hinders the journey The world rises again With the smile of a child With the smile of a child With the smile of a child You did not do anything to me You did not have anything Because everything goes beyond your useless wars You did not do anything to me Your useless wars You have not taken anything from me Your useless wars You did not do anything to me Your useless wars You did not have anything Your useless wars I am aware that everything no longer comes back Happiness flew How a bubble flies away https://youtu.be/R0NF8BZlH4I

How can I search for threads older than one year?
Lovera replied to silvr bull's topic in BBO Support Forum
This above indicated is a way to find topic of a poster (many time i've termined a discussion happening i was the last people on topic to talk). An other a perhaps more ususal is: you can choise a subforum (i.e. "Simple Rulings"), you can open all pages acting on change filter at the bottom, and now you put the nickname that you want to look for in search box and go. If you put toghether the two methods you can have all topics i've made discussion and so for any other BBF. -
Best Lebensohl explanations, ever!

Indeed, very instructive and with a lot of examples. Bidding is logic and not much complicated. To follow correctly a convention usually can get you good resultings.(Lovera) -
Looking for another ending instead i've lost this solution.

We probably have to consider the hand 2 as indicated by nige1 but with the ♦ 9x in E and now squeeze works: if W retains an heart you pintch 2 in dummy having all diamond suit winner, if instead the heart is discarted you pintch ♦ J then little for Q and 2 to 3 in S then the ♦ 10 is lead ...
-
I think so: the last four cards on 9th tricks are an heart by W vs 2 in dummy and 3 in S and Kxx vs the diamond suits in N-S. When the last spade is lead and all clubs are away is pinched the heart J. If W discarting is heart, little for Q, Ace and 2 to 3 to realize the winning 10; if W discarting is a diamond the same as before and 8 to 10 to realize the 3 winner. En passant: i remember to have read in a book of my library about a problem of this type with a 10 winner by the problemist Pawle. Is this one ?

Interesting topic: both lines can have opportuities (opp to defend till 7♠). I think that 4♠ cue has to be bid showing a strong hand either for support or having a solid own suit (here in heart) and allowing other bidding meanings as mikeh told, because N doesn't think that partner has this powerfull hand. Although i think also that is not necessary to jump to 6♥ but instead bidding 5♥, if opp doesn't bid on, can allow to explore for grand via cue bidding.(Lovera)
