  4. [hv=d=n&v=n&s=saqt5hat865d83c72]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] P-(1C)-? Would you bid differently had if RHO was dealer and opened 1C?
  5. Partner had [hv=d=s&v=b&s=shat8xxxdaxcaxxxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] RHO had [hv=d=s&v=b&s=shat8xxxdaxcaxxxx]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 4H makes. This was bid at the other table after an initial 2H overcall 3SX is one off on any vaguely sensible defence.
  6. 1. Not sure you can say - You don't know what their agreement was for 3H. May not be what it appears to be! 2. 6H - Did this board come after 4CX going for 1100? 3. LOL - Alls well that ends well
  7. Sounds like you did know what you were going to do.
  8. X works best by a proverbial mile LHO was 0166, RHO was 4711 Partner was [hv=d=e&v=b&s=s9832h2dq9864ca76]133|100|Scoring: IMP [/hv] Should partner have acted differently?
  9. 4♥. Very dependant on the vulnerability, you need a plan for if they bid 4♠. At favourable I'm willing to put the maximum pressure on now and take action if they bid 4♠, 5 level rates to be cheap. A good hand for playing a double of 4♠ as I want to sacrifice, but happy if you want to defend.
  10. 3♥, but not sure how good any game will be or that this will get us to the right game
  11. Yes does look like they have a double fit and we are sat under the spades
  12. Well done Ken. I thought it was interesting as a lot of good players got this wrong, maybe I should have put it in the Beginner and Intermediate :).
  13. Yes, appears to work so I will follow the same principle - Maybe the exception that proves the rule.
  14. [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sj86543hajt7dact2&s=sahkq654d8763cj43]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 1S-2H 4H-P Low club lead - RHO cashes AK clubs and leads a third club LHO playing the Q. Play on?
  15. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=saqt3hj4dt943cq43]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] (1S)-2S-(3D)-P (3S)-X-(P)-? 2S - Hearts and a minor 3D - Diamonds and spades What do you bid?
  16. [hv=d=e&v=b&s=sak643haqj7djck64]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] (1H)-1S-(X)-4S (P)-P-(4NT)-P (5D)-? Do you agree with 1S? What do you bid now?
  17. I'd have bid 4S on all three of the oppertunities I had to bid
  18. It was a fit jump - spades and diamonds
  19. [hv=d=n&v=n&s=sahkjt98dq543cqj2]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 1C-(1S)-2H-(4D) 4H-(P)-P-(4S) P-P-? 1C - Clubs or weak NT 4D - Fit
  20. [hv=d=s&v=n&s=sak3hqjtdakqjt6cq]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] What do you open what is your general plan? Note. If you open 1D and partner responds a major, you have methods available to show a GF with 3M-6D.
  21. [hv=d=s&v=b&n=sa2haj65d93caj932&e=sq43h973dj762cq64]266|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] (P)-1S-(P)-2S (P)-P-(X)-P (3H)-P-(4H)-P (P)-P 3H - Hearts non-minimum. You are playing 4 card majors 12-14 NT Partner leads the 6♠, declarer plays 2 from dummy and you Q holds. What now?
  22. [hv=d=w&v=n&s=s96hak764dat8764c]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 1NT-(P)-2NT-? 1NT is 12-14 2NT is single suited minor
  23. I just bid 6♥ which wasn't a success. Partner had: Kxx x xxx AKQxxx and RHO had Axx Txxxx Axx Jx Maybe next time I will bid 5H, at least then I won't be doubled. :)
  24. [hv=d=w&v=b&s=s7hakqj976dkj98c7]133|100|Scoring: XIMP[/hv] (2S)-3C-(3S)-? What now?
