Not sure if econmics applies here , I mean everyone who steps into a casino, plays poker or any form of gambling know it is either against the odds or the game is not zero sum, the casino is the only sure winner in the long run. I think it is more on partner management. I played the fun bridge section and is winning consistently even facing more skilled opps. Mainly i have experimented with gib b4 and know many of its tricks and how gib bid. Example, I often understates points as gib will overbid frequently. I wont dbl for lead as gib is sure to NOT lead my suit, and sometimes end up playing a redbled final contract when gib with 3 pts decide it is a good idea and think i have pts when i dbled for lead. I think the rake is too much ( one of the reasons i didnt deposit yet, another i still trying to figure out the gib system totally). Like it will bid 4minor instead of 3nt after a prempt if it holds 6 of that minor and 19+ pts. Maybe we have a rake discount day to encourage playing, much like the free gib day on first of every month? I still havent figured out the lead and signals, it seems sometimes it plays udca sometimes normal.

I think most people would nt expect gib to bid like an expert, but no one will expect it to bid/play like an idiot(not meant to offend anyone) like it does at times. I will think even at fastest speed it shouldnt like mess up simple auctions like 1♦1NT2♣ or 1nt 3nt. Yet when i tried playing with gib even at slowest speed it sometimes make illogical bids and play. didnt play with a gib for REAL money yet, did a few times for fun money and the results is horrifying at times. + i just have -60 imps in a few boards playing with gib vs 2 RL opps. well the compansating factor is that my opps suffer from the same horrors too, however it seems that gib only screws up when i have the points. guess it hates me.

Since BBO is a online bridge service, It has the flexibilty to come up with more innovative rake methods. For example you can charge the rake to time( per sec billing). I.E every one sec in bbo cost like 0.1cents or less. Or you can charge the rake to winnings(not %) but a flat fee like 1 cent per player for the 1 cent per pt games etc....Not alot but when there is signicant amount of tables the rake is quite hugh. Or you can charge rake during withdrawals like 1 to 2% whenever a withdrawal is made. Or just a monthly suscription fee for the money bridge and no rake at all. Or a combination of the above methods

This is my guess p rates to have long clubs.....so 6♣ should be a good contract maybe he has the ♦K and hope to right sdie the contract and let you bid 6H if you dont have dia A or Q... Or He is void in spade and xx dia and hope you bid slam if you have dia controled. or a more exotic variant. p is asking you to pass if you dont have club honors or bid 6 wih it ;)
