  1. I agree with keylime - wake up and get a reality check. As i see it bambi's only fault is her good nature and patience. BBO's support staff are more than supportive in dealing with these individuals. Is this another arguement for a data base that TD's can access so they can protect the integrity of their tournaments? There are far more appreciative, understanding, and supportive players out there than bambi had the unfortunate experience with which to come across. If we didn't believe that, there surely would be no incentive to run the tournaments, refer minor sports, or volunteer within out communities. I only hope is that we don't lose the bambi's of the site and that they see these individuals for what they are and get back on the bike.
  2. I find it quite curious that no one has used the dreaded 'pysch' word in their discussion. These bids seem to sit outside the +/_ range to which others constantly are referring. Pyshic bids always congure up negative feelings whenever they rear their ugly head; regardless of the harst reality of being a legal part of the game. However, a psych of a conventional bid is an entirely different issue. Are these bids not conventional (certainly flannery is)? If they are, a TD job of making a ruling is a lot easier. From a players point of view, given that they recognize these bids for what they are, they are distasteful. The players only course of action is to call the TD and then they must rely on the expertise of the TD to protect them and the integrity of the game.
  3. This has also happened to me. I was sucked into a team match where the TD had set the number of bds. to an unreasonable 99. The match eventually was cancelled but it was to late to salvage my tournament and I ended up having to cancel it but not before making lengthy apologies. I wrote a letter to Uday and listed all names in the team match. Uday was most supportive and took disciplinary measures. It goes without saying I listed the TD as an enemy. The moral of this story is document and follow up the documentation to abuse@bridgebase.com
  4. I find it rather inconvenient to chat with a potential partner. As it is now I have to go all the way back to the main page to establish a link. It would be nice if in the tournament partnership window you could click on a name and estanblish a chat link.
  5. :D What we are discussing here is sportsmanship. To NOT disclose fully or worst to deceive what an agreement means is contradictory to the principals of active ethics. Between partnerships this is unforgiving. In individual tournys leaway is the norm and "we have no agreement" is a viable response.
