I am rather surprised a hotel and venue are not booked yet. 18 months is a very short lead time. These places are booked years in advance. Perhaps with the worldwide recession space is opening up. So far I am able to understand dutch...the final decision to play BB 2011 in Netherlands has been made yesterday (friday)...so there was no time for any further preparations....anyway I dont think the "ACBL-practice">>>to book all years in advance is needed in Europe generally. The Who? Mostly dead. Wonder why they were chosen Petty, Paul, Stones, The Boss, Prince in last couple of years...the organizers seem to like the older generation of r'&roller...still better than many of these todays synthetic bands.
If this thread become more tradition ....what about the first edition of the official Hijackers Cup later this year?...with same geographical proportials as in Ryder <_<
I vistited Roland Garros twice, mostly watched matches at the side courts ...but it doesnt matter...this place has an amazing flair everywhere...as Paris in June generally...
Perhaps I am alone with it but....it lacks an real Grand -Slam -feeling for me. Surely its a big event in tennis but nothing I would really compare to Wimbledon, Garros, or Meadows...
My P passed in first seat, ops opened 1♠ in second; I doubled it with following hand [hv=v=n&s=sk85hakj3d7653ckj]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] my P bid 3♣ (standard bidding without any special agreements) What to do? I passed it...concerned about (maybe) not having A♣ Was I wrong? Forces this 3c bid generally to...? Thanks for comments Robert
The sun shone into the Rhine water while I walked at the bank of the river this afternoon. As usual I have not found any signs for the Gold der Nibelungen. Damn Hagen, where did you hide this treasure!? I cheered me up with the globet of the gold..... pilsner in the old tavern at the riverside.
Nothing is easier than this! Bundesliga (real football) is back :) FC Bayern has won and it makes my evening bad :) @Fluffy >>> Gomez showed it 6 times tonight >>>>how-to-be-alone-in-front-of-the-goalkeeper-and-not-to score
I am not concerned about all these ultra right spinner who yearn after last fight in the modern Armageddon etc..., but I am concerned seeing several us-senators and congressmen sitting in the first row and listen to this crap. Robert
Podolski and Klose were born in Poland, at some point of their career they decided to play for the german national team. No doubt it increased their market value and attractiveness for the mega sponsors. These things rule the football business.
You are probably right, but I dont bet on Munich home victories, the odds are mostly about 1:1,3 so the risk/gain ratio is too high.... Bayern tied already 4 of their 9 home matches.
