  1. So playing 1♠xx with a 5-0 fit is a good idea?
  2. the first one, after 3♦ I think I can safely bid 6NT.
  3. The second one is a 2♠, no problem. The first one I am tempted to x then bid ♠.
  4. I would stop here as North. Too much chance of wasted spade values and 5♥ wasn't good.
  5. I could bid 4M here with an ace less, so I would first cuebid 3♦ then 4♥.
  6. 2♥. Partner bid a takeout 3 times, bid the cheapest major.
  7. Suggested conventions for beginner: Stayman Jacoby Transfer Inverted Minor 4 suit forcing RKCB Jacoby 2NT Gerber (over NT only) takes a while to learn the conventions, but it surely worths it.
  8. I'm an intermediate player, wants to find a partner/opponents to play non-natural system like forcing pass. I don't have previous experience of playing these systems, just want to try it out for fun.
  9. Weird restrictons, but are myxo twos allowed?
  10. ACBL is not the only one. I live in another country, but they still follow ACBL restrictions.
  11. And Wilkosz+weak 2M is far superior to Multi+Muiderberg. Which is one of the reasons that I'm frown by reglating authorities. Why I'm not allowed to open my 2-suited weak 2 if I find there is merit doing so?
  12. I think the real problem of 5♣ is that you don't know what to do after 5♥? Can I bid 4♠ as "I don't know what to do" slam try?
  13. takeout double. The more offshape the double, the more points you need. On 4441, sometimes I double on a 9 count. If I have 5-4 majors, I tend to bid 2m Michael cue bid.
  14. Well, given that most people play this as inverted minor, 2NT natural is hardly useful.
  15. Pass now, not enough control to continue. I expect this sequence to show around 3 keycards.
  16. Is it playable to have 2C forcing here? Because that's what I have in agreement with one of my partners. That way I can save 3C for pure 5-5 hands.
  17. This was in a tournament I played from another table. The doubler has KQJxxx in D and Jxxxx in H and nothing else (Unusual NT anyone?) The player in the said position, passed for -480 which was almost a top as the other side has 12 tricks in NT. I wonder whether it's normal or just lucky.
  18. You hold: S QJxxx H: xx D: xx C: Jxxx RHO deals. (1S) P (2C) X P ?
  19. Sounds good. You dont need the 0-12 range - you now get to bid at 2 level with both F and NF hands!
  20. Knowing whatever level you should stop competing is quite important. Counting your losers, you should know which level is good enough, which level you should double them. Once I had the following hand: ♠ AKxxxxxxxxx ♥ ♦ xx ♣ And the autction went over (1♥) P (2♣) to me -- I "underbid" 4♠ quite confidently.
  21. Pass. It is pretty rare to compete over 2NT with a suit; if 3♥ was playable they would surely go down a lot.
  22. What style of multi do you play? If it is weak only, I would bid 4♥ p/c. If you could have lots of strong hands, 2♥ or 2NT to see what partner has.
  23. I usually play 3♥ as "almost forcing". That means partner should raise game unless he has a misfit (void ♥) minimum.
  24. 1. entirely reasonable. 2. You don't want to go to slam with this hand opposite 12-14, WTP?
