  1. E/W Vul, you are West, North deals. You pick up ♠K97 ♥A98 ♦AQT854 ♣Q (P)-P-(3S)-?
  2. Discussing with other players would be great for learning. Unlike poker, most bridge decision aren't opponent dependent.
  3. 4♥ Kickback -> 5♥ King ask? The cards I really want to know are ♣A, ♦A, ♣K and ♥K. If I can find ♣A, ♦A and a King 7♦ looks good. If I miss an Ace, just sign off 6♦.
  4. Make a test/tutorial on bridge knowledge, you need to score a certain number of points before you can join the advanced group
  5. Nobody plays XX as a bust when you can show it with P. But immediate 2NT should be much more descriptive and stronger than XX.
  6. Takeout double, then cue bid ♠, then ♦ to show your big hand.
  7. I was playing a lot of BBO when I was in college about 10 years ago, when I graduated I just kinda stop playing. A few days ago I was curious and login to BBO again, and was surprised how the player base become. Quitters everywhere, basically someone quit every other hand, a lot of players don't even seem to understand bidding at all.
  8. Fishy what? Like E does not have ♥A for his 4H bid?
  9. Opponents are going to balance most of time. Bidding often leads to partner bidding the impossible game.
  10. If 3S is stayman then there is not much merit for X to be takeout.
  11. I never pass as E here, there are a lot of holdings that W can have with 4H making
  12. Given the spade tolerance I can comfortably X and pull.
  13. Seems like a 3NT probe with 5-4 in the minors.
  14. 1NT-3D for 55 majors just doesn't sound right, I played 1NT-3m for 6 card m invitational and it works wonders
  15. I read your version. One question, how does one respond to 2C for D+H+S/spade+longer H/m? Can responder pass your 2C bid?
  16. Seems like both of you have no idea what is going on. 1S is gross underbid, shows 8-15 pts, how can your p know what is going on if you bid 1S on 19. 3S is probably limit raise without further agreement, but your p bid is preemptive.
  17. Do you really need X to show minors? Minors are hardly worth showing anyway, unless you are 55+, in which U2NT work just fine. I suggest: 2H/2S/3C/3D nat X for H+m 2C for S+m 2D for both M
  18. 3S cue bid? Partner has shown his exact shape already, I think you want to see if pd can show some C control.
