  1. 在**所致污浊不堪的*人网络桥牌环境,这样大规模的比赛能结束就是奇迹。特此发来贺电。
  2. 1M 2m 3M means for me: trump is decided even if partner has void in my suit. and of course additional strength and slam interest. 1M 2m 4M sounds like a hand with less HCPs than normal open (like 9-10) with a solid 7+ suit
  3. Thanks for information. That was exactly what I want... Some rude/crazy persons are obviously trying to disturb our regular tourney. I just hope this option will not affect on those who are in my welcome list but happen to be a "new" member
  4. Hello, I want to know the restriction of the option "exclude new members", how "new" members will be excluded? thanks! regards, MTSummit
  5. so this is the answer why my tourney can not include Chinese memebers only. (I'm a Chinese living in Germany, who create regularly tourney for Chinese players) is there any other option to allow exceptions (besides friends or local list)? thanks!
  6. does that mean 2♥ was weak? i might go for 3♠
  7. maybe i would risk a transfer to 2♠ then bid 2NT. if partner bid 3♠ i would bid 4♠, if partner bid 3NT i would bid 4♦
  8. yeah it is a big problem, and it happened in my game, i kept thinking for long and made a 2♣ and prayed... fortunately my p then bid 2♥ :) i know pass is not a bad decision, just was afraid that my partner could have some points and would not dare to make balance bid, and we might lost a game.
  9. 3♣: puppet stayman 3♦: have 4 card major(s) 3♥/3♠: have 5 card major 3NT: no 4+ majors 3♦/3♥: transfer, can show SI with new suit 3♠: minor stayman with both minors or weak 6+ diamonds 3NT: no 4+ minors 4♣: 4+ clubs, possibly 4 diamonds also 4♦: 4+ diamonds, denies 4+ clubs 3NT: puppet to 4♣ after 4♣: pass with weak 6+ clubs or show 3 suits SI by cue the short suit
  10. thanks for all advices, all "x"s are smaller than 9...
  11. if the double of opp shows both majors, i would think 2S after redouble is forcing
  12. 4C looks much too brave for me, even if 2H shows a strong hand... as 2/1 GF south has a quite minimum hand. i would bid 3NT instead of 2NT after 2H, if north corrects to 4S, then pass
  13. Vul. both east opens 1♣ you have: ♠KQ ♥AQxx ♦KQxx ♣xxx what would you do? pass? (reluctance for me with 16 points) double? (i don't like cause only 2 spades, although 2 honors) 1NT? (not safe without club stopper if we would possibly go to 3NT and west would probably lead club) i personally chose to overcall 1D, what do you think? thanks & regards
  14. pass >> 2c > double for me. your partner didn't bid 1NT nor negative double, i would not be too surprised if opps would bid 4H after balance
  15. agree, i like 2D as game forcing xyz in this case
  16. You lose a lot of pretty valuable ground playing this method. Go with the standard that others have suggested, I would think better. But it is your system:) Ya I mean do your really want to play in some 5-2 minor fit or even a 5-3 minor fit at the 3 level with your example hand: 1nt=2c 2d=3minor? i'm not sure about this, i just feel, if i had to play 5-3 or even 5-2 fit 3m contract, it was unlikely that 2NT was better with that unbalanced hand.
  17. You lose a lot of pretty valuable ground playing this method. Go with the standard that others have suggested, I would think better. But it is your system:) y sure, at least i should know the standard way. that's why i made this thread and asked for help. as for the new way i found, it was a surprise :P
  18. But since you play that a direct 1N-3♣ is invitational with a good suit, you can settle for bidding other 1-suited minor invites (with bad suits) via a 2N invitation. This frees up stayman+3m as forcing. there's difference 1nt 3c/3d the invitational strength lies only in C suit, and promises a good 6+ suit with 2 honors. like xxx xx xx AQxxxx or Qx xxx xx KQxxxx 1nt 2c 2x 3c/3d is normal invitational like Qxxx Kxx x KJxxx or something similar? right so you need to give up inv with a scattered hcp and a long minor bidding your way. How you invite with that hand is 2c and then 2nt. 2c and then 3 of minor is natural and game forcing. Neither promises a 4 card major. well, i'd use 2NT as a balanced invitational hand and 3m as an unbalanced one. but as a friend pointed out, i really care too much about invitational ones :P
  19. That's very much along the lines of Walsh Relay. I think originally 3m (in your double relay auction) showed 1/3 top honors, 3M showed the corresponding minor with 2/3 top cards, and 3N showed 3/3 top honors in an unspecified minor (but opener should be able to tell). thx, i didn't know the name is Walsh relay. but i will not really use its original meaning after 2NT, i'd use them as natural bids. 3C/3D = strong GF minor suit 3H = inv. 4/5(+) majors 3S = GF 5/5 majors etc. i hope it will work :P
  20. i found one solution from a friend for my system: 1NT 2D 2H 2S 2NT 3m 2D as forcing transfer (relay) to 2H, 2S as another forcing transfer to 2NT then 3C/3D is game forcing minor anyway, thx all for nice suggestion
  21. 1nt 2c 2x 3c i feel this 3c sounds invitational, not game forcing It's game forcing. I mean what are you really asking, "how can I show a game forcing hand with a minor if I make my system so every minor suit bid is invitational?" Well, you can't, you have to make some of them forcing. perhaps i didn't make my question clearly the question should be, a game forcing hand with single strong minor suit :)
