Is there a way to change from invisible to visible while already logged in to BBO? The only method I'm aware of is to Logoff, uncheck the Invisble box on the BBO Signin screen, and sign back onto BBO. I'm using the Web client.

Howdy, Several releases ago I had pointed out that there was no link to Rules in the free tourneys (maybe all tourneys). I can see that a link has been added (thank you!), but it is never highlighted, always dim. One TD that has posted rules is pebcat. He has daily tourneys at at 3:15am eastern time, and another one before 12:00 noon eastern time (not sure exactly when). I hope this will help you in trying to trace the problem.

Why do my posts have a warning line, and other posters do not? It doesn't seem to be related to number of posts as I've seen posters with fewer total posts who do not have the warning line.

The problem with sending chats from the profile chat line is still occurring, at least half the time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, nothing obvious as to why. I can use the workaround described above, but it's annoying. I'm on an eMac, OS X 10.5.8. Thanks.

Now the chat line in the profile is working fine, must have been something on my end.

I open someone's profile to send them a chat. I type in the message and hit return, nothing happens. Found a workaround: after typing in chat message, click somewhere in the profile outside the chat line, and then click back in the chat line. Hitting return will then send the message. But I hope this is something that can be fixed. Thanks for the new release. I feel that BBO is one of the most customer-focused organizations anywhere. :)

Just saw another occurrence where a chat to Club showed up in my chat stream when i wasn't in a Club. I am now kibbing a table in the Main Bridge Club, and got a chat addressed to Club from someone in TPT. I was in TPT earlier today but left about an hour ago.

For the past few hours (say 03:00 - 05:00 PDT) that I've been checking List Interesting Tables, no Team Matches have appeared, except for Vugraph. Usually there are some Team Matches on the list, sometimes more than half of the tables. This is new as of this morning.

I've noticed a couple times now that random messages sent to Club show up in my chat when I'm not in a club. Latest example, 6:26 PDT. Two messages from nofree to Club appeared while I was kibbing Vugraph. No problem for me to ignore the messages, but this may be symptomatic of a bigger problem. Definitely new with this release.

I agree with an earlier poster that the emoticons should be optional. Also, I often do emoticon with extra parentheses for emphasis, for example (with extra space to show the effect): : ))))) or : ((((( Now those end up looking silly: :D))) :)((( Could you add an edit that if the character following the standard two emoticon characters is not blank, then don't put in the yellow emoticon symbol? That would help a lot.

Thank you, Fred. Your work is very much appreciated. 1. I really like the new MP symbols. But now a star seems less important as it's only one color. Maybe a red border or some other special distinction. Before the stars were always the first thing Isaw. Now with the bolder MP symbols they are second. 2. The soft gray is lovely. Two other comments not related to new release. 3. How can I change Language? I would expect to find it in Profile but I don't see it. 4. Many free tourney TDs are putting their Rules in some place that can be read prior to the tourney. I would expect to see a button on the More window to access Rules but there isn't one. Is there some other way to find the Rules for a given tourney? Best of luck in Reno.

Can you please let me know what club you are referring to and also describe the sequence of clicks you use to enter the club? When you say it is not working, is that because you try to chat->club and do not see your own chat? Does the problem occur both when you are at a table in the club and when you are looking at the list of tables in the club? I suspect it will be easy to fix this once I understand what is going on. Clicked on Club button and wrote "test". It did not appear in the stream of chat. There was no response from anyone. Secondly I wrote "test-if you see this send me a private message". Did not appear in the chat stream, and no response from anyone. Same thing happened when I was at a table playing. Clicked on Club, wrote "test", it did not appear in chat stream, and no response. Next wrote "test--if you see this send me a private message." it did not appear in the chat stream nor did anyone respond. I enter the TPT club by clicking Home, Show All Tables, All Public and Private Clubs, The Total Points Tournament Bridge Club. That gets into the club, and the next thing players do is go kib the TDs table toi await pairings and assignments. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks.

Once again I can't get the Club button to work, and I tried logging off and on, and re-entering the club. No changes on my side, so I think it must be a bug in the Web version.

On the new Friends List, I've noticed that when stars log off they remain on the list. Or at least some stars some of the time. Their profiles show them as offline.

Club chat is working now, must have had a glitch on my side yesterday.

The good news is that the Club button is there. The bad news is that the chat message with destination Club doesn't go out.

I love the new Friends list format. Much easier for me to find potential partners who are not already playing a tourney. Well done Fred.

The Club chat button is only available intermittently. Actually have seen it only once. Please make an announcement of the new software releases in the BBO Today section. very helpful to those who don't read Forum. Thanks for the improvements Fred, they are much appreciated.

Hello, I'm on the web client. I don't know how to find a team match to play in, or list myself as available for a team match, or however it works. I've seen friends get into team matches often with people they don't know so I assume there is some mechanism for this. The people I know who can do this are on the PC client. Thanks, Eleanor

Hello, In addition to adding the Tournament Chat button to the TPT Club (previously requested) please add the Club chat button too. I'm finding people use these two buttons interchangably. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response, Fred. I've figured out (finally!!) how to take a screen shot so I will forward them to you when i run into the short contract box or the total points discrepancies. Was a change made to take the active auction box out of the center of the screen and back to the top right corner? I really liked it in the middle of the table. if this is an option I'll go change my settings. And since the auction is back in the upper right corner, the short contract box has not occurred. I really appreciate the web-client as it's the only way i can access BBO, being on a non-dual processing Mac. Also I'd like to vote for the card design in the client server. It's elegant! I would love to have that deck available in real cards. And you designer had a little fun with the Queen of Clubs. Greatly enjoy it.

The box area at the bottom right of the table screen that shows the contract and the tricks taken is sometimes too short, and two cards are on the left of the box. I've seen no obvious pattern as to when this occurs Related to TPT 5. Tournament chat button is needed as it's the only way to communicate with the TD once you are playing at a table. There are no standard director calls in TPT because of the nature of the tournaments. Already reported to Uday. 6.
