  1. hi We should thank Roland a lot and IMO he should be sponsored with free diet cokes for ever!! He has done a fantastic job organising all commentators and scheduled them for all Vugraphs, been a hell of job but I guess he loves it ! Booze
  2. my HO normaly good hands should be bid slowly as possible , so why not bid 4 ♥ , showing ♠ support and first control in ♥ , I guess you wants to know P:s spade quality and third controls in minors ? Give the hand space for it ?? 5 NT should show same hand but one minor going, now you wants to know third controls ? Booze

  6. and I forget to mention all players speaking their language during play, thats important to logg, some even discus the hand that they are playing Bo
  7. I guess guilt can be proven not only by evidence but from indications 2, I admit I make stupid bids like everyone else , but mostly I get bad results from them , but I dont like to see pairs bid like idiots and get very good scores, I saw a player bid slam vuln vs nonvuln with 6 loosers a couple of days ago , his P didnt bid at all !!!! , but slam was cold because of a superfit, maybe it was just crazy bidding I dont know, but when I see same pair do this repeatedly and win a tourney, it stinks IMO I have given up on this, its the main reason why I dont want to be a Yellow anymore, lots of good and respectable players I know complains to me about all cheating, and IMO its much more then we think it is, and I have no good answers to give these players. I have seen players asking for P ICQ or messenger name when they agreed to play ??? Online bridge has a long history of cheating, maybe we should consider it as a new game?? I have accused some pairs for cheating , as I know all of them did, lots of them admitted cheating after confrontation. But I could not prove it in any case. Only indiciums !! Bo
  8. even yellows can do wrong ) the only reason I have banned someone without any warnings is racistic remarks or sexual abusers, I dont see any reason to talk to them. and to another subject , I hope we are discussing cheating that can be proved, not any cryptic chat codes that take years to encrypt. the worst case I have seen is this 1nt -2 clubs (not alerted) -pass - pass -(a long break) 3nt from opener and pass -pass - pass. I think someone told him that his passing P had some nice cards for him, the 1 Nt was a normal 15 points hand , rather bad hand, but a superfit made 3 nt cold . I checked some hands from these guys , they played and bid rather good at them , so I dont think it was some kind of beginner mistake. I asked them to explain this bidding but got no response. IMO this is not 100 % clear but is it close enough ?? I admit that I do spectacular bids too, but mostly because of some logic thinking, I was accused for cheating when I balanced with a 3 card suit , I knew from opps bidds that P had at least 4 in that suit, but I was very lucky he had 5 :) , this was very strange for my opps , they couldnt believe it. Bo
  9. even as non Yellow I get a lot of reports on possible cheating every day, some are very wrong , but mostly I agree with reporters, that its not normal bridge, some times very stupid but correct bridge tho, but when I get reports from separate users of any possible cheaters I think it might be correct to do some investigations!! But how and when and by whom ?? I dont want to do it anymore , its too common and too much unpleasant work ? BBO has lost some "good" TD:s and players by this, so I think it is a problem , not for anyone playing just with friends or at some private hardly restricted tourney. Bo
  10. I dont know if I have been wrong in any of they players we have barred ? Last week I saw on 3 different occasions, users asking for their P hotmail or ICQ in lobby chat b4 tourneys. I have earlier asked users to come to a chat room, to explain their bids or play, if I suspected some. If they have some kind of logical explanation I accept it. Bo
  11. I guess situation is a bit different for Yellows, I hate cheaters and was a yellow , reports of cheaters and abusers made me sick , and in long run they will do a lot of harm at BBO!!! I guess we loose "good users" by not chasing cheaters Bo
  12. I know its very hard to prove that somebody is cheating , but cheating can be done in so many ways Easy to prove 1. is falsebidding or alerts, missleading opps 2. Leads , unlogical leads , might happen , but not too many unlogical but always correct , I ve seen spectacular leads but correct of course ::P) 3. dont leading P suit ?? if it happens a lot , they have an agreement that should be alerted , hard to prove 1. hard bad correct bidding 2 always correct finesses and from top when correct, I watched one play from top and singel K falls with an 8 cards fit, and no reason to do it. 3 declaring against % but correct IMO this is BBO biggest problem, cheaters dont only destroy for opps , I know a lot of players that says they never trust a pair from a certain country::((, thats tragic , I know personally a lot of good players from that country, cheaters destroy for all of us !!!! I had to give up as Yellow because of this , esp when some other yellows say they dont care. As I strongly believe that accepting cheating will increase the number of cheaters, a lot of pairs will cheat as they see they dont have a chance if they dont do it and why do some advanced players level them self as beginners ?? The more incitament we give for winning a tourney the more cheating we will have. Maybe tourneys where dancing or dating is more important then bridge is the only way ?? And should it be up to our poor TD:s to judge cheating ?? Bo
  13. Sadly cheating IMO is very common in tourneys, I have lot of examples where I suspect cheating , but its very hard to prove anything, in some cases it has been too obvious tho,
