I think a 4♠ cuebid of a void in partner's suit is truly awful. Partner will evaluate his KQJxx of spades highly thinking you have the ace of spades. Or even worse alternatively partner might think your 4♠ bid is natural...
Good hand for specific aces. But without such a convention, I'd have opened 1♥, jumpshift to 3♣. Opening 2♣ just doesn't allow you enough room to show both suits, and you're hardly gonna get passed out in 1♥...
We responded 1NT not 1♠? Anyway, I'd expect roughly 3514 shape. Game seems quite possible with no wastage in diamonds - 4♣ by me seems right. Or am I completely off track and this is a penalty double?
I like to play FP then. Probably in a forum minority on this issue. Limit+ values and them on the 5 level is FP (even after a 2/1 in competition). ditto gwnn. FP for 5m over 4M when we cueraise.
If 2NT is your only invite, and forcing to game is a big overbid in your opinion, and prefer to rightside NT when it's right, wat's your call?! Oh ok I guess you're bidding 2NT. Guess we can't right side 3NT then.
but 5♠ could easily be already too high... Reflecting on comparing 4♣ with 4♦, Im changing my answer to 4♣. Agree that if partner cuebids 4♥ and skips 4♦ the hand is huuuuggeeee.
that's not so weak after all you had a 5 card suit  plus according to the fora all spots cards are equal so you actually held 999 99999 99 999 Playing misere/nullo there's a huge difference between a 2 and a 6/7/8/9....
1) 1♦ 2) If I have 2♦ available as 6+D '10-15' I'd open that. Otherwise 1♠ in 1st seat, 2♦ weak in 3rd seat or if weak 2♦ unavailable 3♦ NV 3rd seat. 3) Pass 4) 1♥ 5) 1♠ only in 1st and 3rd seats.
