  1. ok ok sorry, the real bidding was not 6♣ something like 4♦ 5♣ 6♣
  2. [hv=d=n&v=e&s=s6hj9842d98ck9652]133|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] You are South the bidding goes : Pass 1♣ 1♥ 2♦ Dbl** pass 2♥ 3♥ Pass * 3NT pass pass Dbl pass pass pass * : Support double ** : Double would ask for an other lead. What do you lead?
  3. [hv=d=w&v=b&w=sa9hk972dkj6cak54&e=skqj74hjda92ct973]266|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 1♣ - 1♠ 2NT - 3♣ (asking for 4♥ or 3♠) 3♥ - 3♠ 3NT - 4♣ 6♣ Do you agree with est bidding over 3nt ? Would you accept slam from West point of view after the 4♣ bid ?
  4. Well, I have to confess that, even if I am French, 2♣ was Game forcing. But I strongly disagree with this dbl thing after 2♣ opening. Anyway, I can always bid 5♦ over 4♥ or 4♠ From the oponent. Talking about the South Hand now, everyobdy (exept Helene) Is OK with 3NT ?
  5. [hv=d=n&v=n&n=sahk9dakqj542ct53&s=st4ht852d87ckq982]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] 2♣ - 2♦ 3♦ - 3NT AP 5♦ is making and 3NT is down 1. Bad luck ?
  6. For the reasons I mentioned 2 post ago :)
  7. Maybe 3D is better than 4D actually ... but I am junior :)
  8. The hand might be a complete missfit and East having strong ♠ from North point of view. Why would you double then ? I totaly disagree with you fluffy. Not on the part that is it North to blame, maybe It is, I actually don't know this. But I really dont think that letting opps play 3♠ Undoubled is the point, Double would not be penalty anyway, you have no way from north hand to play 3♠ doubled and I don't think you want that. Maybe you can double 3♠ to show maximum hand with short ♠, but this is not what you have and you are 90% likely to hear 4♣.
  9. I can live with that B) Can't wait :). And If I am broke Jlall should be around !
  10. Reverse South ♠ ans ♥ and this is why you don't want to play it as forcing B)
  11. I would expect more shape for 5♥ , perhaps: ♠xx ♥Qxxxx ♦Qxxxx ♣x 5m from west should be fit showing, with values in the suit bid, and generally good hand. But , for us, only because West is a passed hand. If he wasn't PH we think he is allowed to suggest playing in his 7 or 8 card suit. So, If partner bids 5D or 5C you would bid 6♥ with the East hand ?
  12. I dont think I can make 4♥ if part passes 3♥ exept the dream hand with 2 small ♥ and QJ♠ and Q♦. And ♥ to be divided 2-2. 4♥ is too much imho ... and I am junior B)
  13. 3♥ 7 card suit with AK and Kxx in my partner suit. IMP and VUL !
  14. Yes ... But could not partner have : x KQJxxxxxx Kx x ? Or even x KQJxxxxxx Kx A.
  15. Partner had : x AKJTxxxx x Axx Slam was not that bad, but Qxx offside killed it . One reason I might have been thinking about fo not bidding 6♥ is that if the opp did not bid 4♠ you would have played 4♥, is this a good reason or should you let the opps help you ?
  16. 4♣ over 3♠ would have been natural for us. What hand should be 5♥ then ? and what would be 5♣ or 5♦ over 4♠ (instead of 5♥) ? I guessed a strong ♥ raise with values in the suit, agree?
  17. [hv=d=s&v=n&w=sa54hqt6dq965cjt6&e=shak952dkj3ckq973]266|100|Scoring: IMP[/hv] The bidding went : Pass Pass 3♠ 4♥ 4♠ 5♥ Pass 6♥ Would you dbl or Bid 5♥ with west hand ? And what if vul were different. Do you agree with 6♥ ? Additional question, with nobody vul, what would you do as East if partner Dbls 4♠ ?
  18. [hv=d=e&v=n&n=sa752hqjt952dkq8c&s=s3hk76da76cqjt964]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] The bidding went : 1♠ 2♣ P 2♥ 3♠ ALL PASS 2♥ was invitational but not Forcing. other options would be 3♥ or 2♠ 3♠ went down 1 and 4♥ is cold Who is to blame, North or south ? Or both ?
  19. No, I base this on the fact that we have between 16 and 18 count and we have a good lead.
  20. SO much easier to coment than to play ...
  21. I agree with your partner :).
  22. Well, maybe I am wrong then. But I would dbl any 2434 8 count, And there in no way I let 3♠ being non vul with this hand. Too many ways to win imho. The 3 situations I can see where bidding is wrong is : A - partner passes and it makes B - Partner bids, 3♠ was down and we go down at the 4 level C - Partner bids, we go for 2 down AND we got dbled. I trust partner judgment, and If A happens quite often, B should very rarely happen and vice versa. I dont mean I trust partner to bid perfectly not know everything, just that I think if he tends to pass often, he will not bid when pass is the right action. Going down 2 with my hand and get doubled is, imo, unlikely.
  23. I storngly disagree with the fact that you have shown your hand already. Wouldn't you dbl with a 2432 and 8HCP ? I would. This hand is golden, moreover your passed 1st so your partner exactly know what to expect. Maybe -730 but .... Partner does not have to pass. Well, it is matchpoint after all, ***** happens. -140 wont be a good score with this hand, I can promise you.
